Robert Pattinson’s Batman tipped to lead his own tie-in game

As a lifelong Batman fan with a memory that stretches back to the days of Adam West’s caped crusader, I can hardly contain my excitement at the prospect of a new video game set in the world of Matt Reeves’ The Batman. From the dark and gritty tone of Reeves’ vision, to Robert Pattinson’s compelling portrayal of Bruce Wayne, this could be a gaming experience like no other.

It appears that Warner Bros. Games might be working on a new Batman video game, possibly featuring the Dark Knight from Matt Reeves’ The Batman movie. However, this isn’t necessarily a continuation of Rocksteady’s Arkhamverse; instead, it presents an intriguing prospect of a game set in a different world.

While Batman games aren’t brand new, it’s accurate to say we’ve made significant progress since the 1986 isometric version of Batman. Rocksteady garnered much praise with its Arkham series from 2009 to 2015, but then seemed to stumble with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Now, there’s speculation that Robert Pattinson might don the cape and cowl next.

It seems we’ve outgrown the phase where movies were frequently accompanied by video games, but think back to a time when after watching Mad Max: Fury Road on the big screen, you could jump into a game as a pixelated version of Anya Taylor-Joy. There was once a plan for a video game tie-in with The Dark Knight, and it’s hard not to wonder what an amazing experience that would have been.

Previously, Reeves had big aspirations for his Batman universe, and although there seems to be no recent news about a sequel to 2022’s The Batman, it’s confirmed that Colin Farrell will star in a spin-off series centered around The Penguin. Other potential projects like the GCPD and Arkham Asylum series have been put on hold, but speculation suggests we might be venturing into video game adaptations instead.

Based on Puck’s reports, intense discussions at Warner Bros. Discovery have triggered a massive sale of their most valuable intellectual properties. Earlier, we shared concerns about the potential struggles of Warner Bros. Games, but there’s some positive news: rumors indicate that a video game set in the universe of The Batman is currently under development.

The different divisions of WBD are now working more closely together on projects such as the upcoming Penguin HBO series and game, both stemming from the 2022 The Batman film. While details about the project’s progress or specifics are not yet available, Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of Batman appears to be highly anticipated.

Players are eagerly anticipating the return of Batman’s thrilling adventures, as proven by the success of Gotham Knights and the absence of Batman in it. They yearn for Rocksteady’s Arkham City-level excellence in a new game featuring Batman once more.

1. Neglecting to deliver a Batman story with “Kill the Justice League,” they left us wanting more. Envision if Robert Pattinson were to contribute his image and voice to a video game set in The Batman universe. Not only would it keep fans satisfied until the sequel, but it could also expand this world as intended by Reeves.

1. Considering the recent news about KTLJ supposedly costing WBD $200 million, we can’t help but feel apprehensive about the possibility of Batman games being shelved for some time. However, a game that emulates the dark and gritty style of The Batman certainly seems like it could be a profitable venture.
