As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for the rich tapestry of Bollywood, I was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Menka Irani, the mother of Sajid Khan and Farah Khan. Having followed their careers closely, it’s heartbreaking to see such a significant loss in their lives.

Menka Irani, the mother of film directors Sajid Khan and Farah Khan, passed away on July 26 in Mumbai at the age of 79. Following the announcement of her passing, many Bollywood celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan with his family, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, and others visited to pay their respects. In recent days, Sajid Khan has expressed his emotions for the first time by posting a touching tribute to his mother on social media.

On August 4th, Sajid Khan recently posted a cherished childhood photo on Instagram with his mother, Menka Irani. In the image, his mother lovingly puts her arm around him as they both smile warmly for the camera. Her grace and allure are undeniably evident in this snapshot.

In a poignant manner, Sajid conveyed his feelings by posting, “I find it hard to accept that you’re no longer here… I will always love you, my dear mother…”, and he chose to accompany this message with Olivia Erla O Byrne’s song, “Mother Of Mine,” playing in the background.

After the sad news of Irani’s death, well-known Bollywood personalities such as Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rani Mukerji, Fardeen Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan along with his wife Gauri Khan and daughter Suhana Khan visited to offer support during this difficult time. Moreover, numerous television stars also extended their sympathy to the Khan family.

Approaching the day before she passed away, on July 12 (her 79th birthday), Farah and Sajid joyfully celebrated with their mother.

Sharing an endearing note, the Om Shanti Om director had written, “We all take our mothers for granted..especially me! This last month has been a revelation on how much i lov my mom Menka.. she s been the strongest, bravest person iv ever seen.. sense of humour intact even after multiple surgeries. Happy birthday mom! Today’s a good day to come back home (accompanied by a red-heart emoji)can’t wait for you to get strong enough to start fighting with me again.. i Lov u(accompanied by a red-heart emoji)”

Meanwhile, Sajid penned, “Happy Birthday mummy…”

For those not familiar, Farah and Sajid Khan’s mom, Menka, was the sibling of well-known child actors Daisy Irani and Honey Irani. Moreover, she herself acted in the film “Bachpan” (1963), which featured Salman Khan’s father and scriptwriter, Salim Khan, among its stars.
