As a longtime Silent Hill enthusiast, I’ve traversed many dark corridors and faced countless nightmarish creatures, but the Trick or Treat segment in the Silent Hill 2 Remake has sent shivers down my spine like no other. The eerie atmosphere and unsettling game-show-like experience are a chilling reminder of why this series is considered a horror classic.

In the Silent Hill 2 Remake, the Trick or Treat segment is a revival of the famous trivia game first seen in the 2001 original. This time around, it’s even spookier, but the excitement is unshakeable.

In an unforeseen turn of events, James becomes immersed in a puzzling, game-show-style scenario. This write-up guides you on navigating the trivia, offering the solutions required to claim the incentives.

All Trick-or-Treat Answers

The test commences as soon as you step into the elevator at the hospital following the resolution of an earlier riddle concerning the locked box and the Lady of the Door painting.

While James is riding an elevator, the trivia question format is reminiscent of a radio show. As the elevator ascends, he successfully answers three questions pertaining to the intricate backstory of Silent Hill.

In this quiz, you can’t just immediately type your responses. Instead, remember the answers as there won’t be any instructions or prompts for James to jot them down.

  • Question 1: How many people died in the plague that struck Silent Hill in the early 1800s?
    • Answer: 67. (2nd option) This is based on a statue you might have seen in Rosewater Park commemorating the victims.
  • Question 2: Which road leads to the lumberyard and cemetery when you follow Sanders Street?
    • Answer: Wiltse Road (3rd option). If you checked your map earlier, you would have seen Wiltse Road leading out of town towards the cemetery.
  • Question 3: Who was Billy Locane’s sister, murdered alongside him?
    • Answer: Miriam (1st option). This can be uncovered by reading a newspaper clipping found in the Wood Side Apartments that references the tragic event.

Once I’ve wrapped up the quiz, keep pushing forward in Brookhaven Hospital. Down the line, once I manage to get my hands on a key or find another way, I’ll be able to re-enter the first floor (1F). From there, I’ll make a beeline for the Pharmacy.

In this very room, you’ll come across a festive Trick-or-Treat Decorative Box. This particular box serves as the solution container for the quiz. It features three separate sections, symbolizing the individual questions within the quiz.

You will need to input the correct answers as follows:

  • First row: 2 (for the answer 67, the second option)
  • Second row: 3 (for the answer Wiltse Road, the third option)
  • Third row: 1 (for the answer Miriam, the first option)

Input the code 2-3-1 into the box to unlock it.

Cracking the correct password grants access to the box inside the hospital pharmacy, revealing valuable prizes like ammunition for a shotgun and healing syringes. Although it’s not something that dramatically alters the game, these items are certainly handy.

If you enter an incorrect code, there will be repercussions; instead, James will sustain harm, much like what was cautioned by the radio broadcaster beforehand.

Unfortunately, if you get it wrong, you’ll be unable to try again, so make sure to save your game before submitting your answers.
