Silvia Alonso, Félix Gómez Call Location a Protagonist of Spanish Hit ‘La Caza,’ Tease Season 4

The Spanish crime thriller series, La Caza, or The Hunt, created by Agustín Martínez, and its fourth season, featuring Megan Montaner, Félix Gómez, and Silvia Alonso, which will air on Movistar Plus+ later this year, drew significant attention at the Conecta Fiction & Entertainment event in Cuenca, Spain last Wednesday.

During the afternoon, Martínez, Alonso, and Gómez were joined on stage by executive producer José Manuel Lorenzo (known as “The Gardener”). This was prior to him receiving a Conecta honorary award in the evening. As the president and founder of DLO Producciones, which is part of Banijay’s production giant Banijay Iberia, Lorenzo was recognized for his contributions to the industry.

In the early part of the day, executive producer José Manuel Lorenzo (affectionately known as “The Gardener”) joined Martínez, Alonso, and Gómez on stage. This was before he was honored with an award from Conecta that evening. Lorenzo is the leader of DLO Producciones, a production company under Banijay’s Banijay Iberia. His contributions to the industry have been substantial.

Each new season of the show unfolds in a different Spanish location. The first season was backdropped by the Pyrenees, followed by the island of Mallorca for the second, and a quiet Andalusian village near the Portuguese border in the third. For Season 4, we find ourselves immersed in Spain’s Navarre region amidst the enchanting Irati Forest.

The movie titled La Caza was successfully adapted in France as well, known as Riviere-Perdue. A short excerpt from this adaptation was shown to the spectators.

A brief, intriguingly ominous and suspenseful forest-set preview garnered enthusiastic cheers from the Conecta audience. As per the outline, the fourth season kicks off with the residents of a secluded hamlet stumbling upon a woman’s corpse dangling from a tree. To unravel this mystery, an investigative team dispatched by Spain’s UCO – a specialized division within the Spanish Civil Guard focusing on serious and organized crime cases – is summoned to the scene.

Alonso enjoyed filming for ‘La Caza’ and mentioned that they filmed in stunning locations, which was a highlight of the experience. However, she also acknowledged that it was quite demanding at times.

Gomez agreed, adding: “The settings play a significant role in this show, they’re full of character and lend their own unique flavor to each episode.

The enchanting woodland backdrop of the most recent season left a profound impact on the cast. “I must admit, I hadn’t anticipated my fascination for Navarre,” the performer confided. “But it captivated me entirely. It’s as if any mythical creature could still dwell there. It’s simply breathtakingly beautiful.

This week, Conecta has hosted a variety of executives from companies such as Gaumont Television, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Discovery, Brazil’s Globo, and Spain’s Movistar Plus+, among others.
