As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for behind-the-scenes happenings, I must say that the camaraderie and spirit of celebration on the sets of Son of Sardaar 2 are truly heartwarming. Having worked with various production teams over the years, I’ve seen my fair share of stressful shoots, but it’s moments like these that remind us all why we do what we do – to create memorable experiences, both on and off-screen.
Right now, the filming for Son of Sardaar 2, the follow-up to the 2012 action comedy, is happening actively. Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, and other actors have been in the UK for several weeks now. Recently, Mrunal shared some glimpses of Sharat Saxena’s birthday celebration, which took place on the film sets in Scotland.
Mrunal Thakur recently took to her Instagram Stories and shared a video from the sets of Son of Sardaar 2. In the clip, Sharat Saxena was seen cutting multiple delicious-looking cakes on the occasion of his birthday amid the greenery of Scotland. Ajay Devgn, Mrunal, Vindu Dara Singh, and more members of the crew were seen standing with him as they clapped and cheered. Sharat ji expressed his gratitude to everyone by folding his hands and saying thank you. Mrunal also wrote, “Janam din mubarak” on her Stories.

Previously, Ajay Devgn gave a peek at the independence day festivities of his team. On August 15th, he uploaded a video onto Instagram showcasing him raising the Indian flag with the cast and crew in attendance.
On this significant day, although far from home, loved ones, and our native land, Ajay shared that celebrating India’s grandeur, resilience, and the potency of its people from this distant location is equally significant and impactful. Wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day from TEAM #SOS2.

In 2023, we were informed by a trusted source involved in the project development, “Ajay Devgn has been contemplating turning Son of Sardaar into a series since the initial release more than ten years ago. He’s explored numerous concepts to further Jassi Singh Randhwa’s story, but none quite hit the mark. After much deliberation, Ajay and his team have found a fitting plotline for the sequel and will soon make an official announcement about the project.”
TopMob recently announced the addition of a diverse group of actors such as Ravi Kishan, Chunky Panday, Neeru Bajwa, Deepak Dobriyal, Kubbra Sait, Mukul Dev, Roshni Walia and others to their cast.
