Squidsoup Opens the Doors to Its "Lost in Light" Exhibition

As someone who has been captivated by the mesmerizing world of immersive art for years now, I can hardly contain my excitement about Squidsoup‘s latest installation, “Lost In Light.” With its sprawling 3-story light installation in the heart of Shoreditch, East London, it promises to be a visual feast that pushes the boundaries of what immersive art can achieve.

Art collective Squidsoup, known for creating innovative light and audio experiences, recently unveiled their newest project. Entitled “Lost In Light,” this stunning display is a three-story light installation situated in the heart of Shoreditch, East London.

During the course of the setup, there will be five distinct exhibitions taking place simultaneously on three different levels. The installation itself covers an expansive 30,000 square feet within a gallery and showcases outstanding installations by Squidsoup, a collective renowned for their pioneering work in immersive art.

Moreover, Squidsoup has merged several elements including dynamic lighting and electronic soundtracks to transform the environment into a living piece of art they refer to as a “respiring artwork.” At their upcoming exhibition, you’ll find works from various sub-brands under Squidsoup, such as Circular Echoes, Infinite, Three Volumes, Sola, and Submergence. Each installation provides a distinctive artistic journey that challenges the boundaries between physical reality and the digital realm.

The recent display by Squidsoup builds upon a series of prior events, both standalone and in partnership with Four Tet, that have taken place worldwide. Notably, their artwork has been featured at the International Centre for Light Art and the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Furthermore, this art has ventured as far as Australia, gracing prestigious international festivals like Burning Man and Vivid Sydney.

Take a closer look at what you can expect from Squidsoup’s “Lost In Light” exhibition above and be sure to head down from now at 118 Curtain Road, London EC2A 3PJ, until it closes its doors on October 25.
