As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for recognizing promising cinematic ventures, I am thoroughly excited about the imminent release of Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. Having closely followed Taapsee Pannu’s career since her debut, it is fascinating to witness the evolution of her on-screen partnership with Kanika Dhillon and their remarkable chemistry.
The movie starring Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey, titled Haseen Dillruba, was released back in 2018. Now, over six years later, the creators are eager to bring more excitement with its sequel, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, featuring Sunny Kaushal as a new cast member. In a recent chat, the actress from Khel Khel Mein was asked if there might be a third installment of the film.
It’s significant to mention that Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba will be the fifth project for Taapsee Pannu and Kanika Dhillon, following Manmarziyaan, Haseen Dillruba, Rashmi Rocket, and Dunki.
In a recent chat with News 18 Showsha, when asked about the possibility of a third Haseen Dillruba installment, Taapsee playfully mentioned that unlike her co-stars Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal, she doesn’t delve too deeply into reading. Yet, she has handed the book Malice to Kanika for the potential next chapter of the movie.
“It’s likely that Haseen Dillruba will continue to appear, with no plans for it to disappear, and you can expect more collaborations between me and Kanika in the future. We’ve been brainstorming a lot of exciting ideas for our partnership.”
Apart from expressing her admiration, she additionally complimented Kanika Dhillon’s writing abilities by saying that her unique selling point is creating complex female characters who feel relatable. The actress admitted that after working with Dhillon in Manmarziyaan, she found herself drawn to the Haseen Dillruba series and it grew particularly dear to her heart.
She commented on how skillfully this author portrays women similar to me, women who are genuine and accountable for their actions. These are women who may stumble but have the courage to admit their errors and openly acknowledge when they’ve done something incorrectly.
In addition to this, Taapsee stated that their errors are never camouflaged behind the cloak of heroism. The actress from Khel Khel Mein emphasized that the protagonists created by the writer possess a captivating trait of being both gray and fragile simultaneously. Praising Kanika’s writing style, she acknowledged that they share a strong understanding as a writer-actor pair.
The eagerly awaited movie titled Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, featuring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill, is at the helm of director Jayprad Desai. Crafted by Kanika Dhillon and produced by Colour Yellow Productions and T-Series Films, this intriguing film will be available for streaming on Netflix starting August 9.
