Apple TV+ is adding to its comedy roster with a series starring Tatiana Maslany.
The award-winning actor will star in a humorous suspense series called “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed“. This production is created by David J. Rosen, known for his work on “Sugar” for Apple and “Hunters” for Prime Video. In addition to creating the show, Rosen will also oversee its production. David Gordon Green has been assigned as the director and will also serve as an executive producer.
The darkly comic thriller titled “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” follows a recently divorced mother (played by Maslany) as she unwittingly plunges into a perilous world of blackmail, homicide, and youth soccer. This 10-episode, half-hour series is being jointly produced by Apple Studios and Counterpart Studios. Rosen and Green will serve as executive producers, while Simon Kinberg and Audrey Chon from Genre Films, who developed the show under their exclusive deal with Apple TV+, along with Bard Dorros from Anonymous Content, will also take on executive producer roles.
At present, Maisie Maslany is headlining the horror movie titled “The Monkey,” which debuted as the second highest-grossing film domestically last week. She garnered an Emmy in 2016 for her versatile performances on BBC America’s “Orphan Black,” and she embodied the main character in Marvel’s “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” on Disney+. Upcoming, Maisie Maslany will make a guest appearance in the forthcoming “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” series, available on Paramount+.
Maslany is represented by United Talent Agency, The Character’s Talent Agency, and Hansen Jacobson. In contrast, Rosen is represented by Anonymous Content, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), and Colden & McKuin. Green, on the other hand, is associated with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Cinetic Media.
Apple TV+ boasts a selection of comedies such as Shrinking, Mythic Quest, Acapulco, Palm Royale, and Loot, plus additional series like The Studio, Government Cheese, and the upcoming spin-off of Mythic Quest titled Side Quest.
