The Boys Post Credits Scene Reveals Jensen Ackles Soldier Boys and Sets Up a Supernatural Reunion

As a dedicated fan of both “The Boys” and “Supernatural,” I can’t help but feel elated by the latest development in the world of these groundbreaking shows. The post-credits scene of “The Boys” Season 4 has left me buzzing with excitement, as it brought us closer to the long-awaited reunion of Jensen Ackles and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s characters.

This article contains spoilers for The Boys Season 4 Finale

In the final moments of Season 4 on Prime Video, The Boys served up several surprising and gory turns. However, an almost overlooked cameo was saved for the very end: there were whispers that Jensen Ackles would rejoin the show following his tenure as Soldier Boy in Seasons 3 and the spin-off series Gen V. Yet, despite fan anticipation of a reunion with his former co-stars from Supernatural – Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jared Padalecki – Ackles was absent throughout Season 5. But now, the prospect of the trio reuniting is once again alive and well.

Since the news broke that Morgan would rejoin “The Boys” in Season 4, fans have been eagerly anticipating his return alongside his on-screen son Ackles from “Supernatural.” However, this has yet to occur due mostly to the disclosure that Morgan’s character, Joe Kessler, is actually a figment of Billy Butcher’s tumor-induced hallucinations. Though they haven’t shared a scene together yet, the post-credits scene in Season 4 has given fans a glimmer of hope that they might interact in Season 5.

In the concluding scene, Antony Starr’s character Homelander, showing signs of deterioration, is escorted by a new political associate to a clandestine cell. Upon entering, he encounters an isolated chamber where Chris Ackles’ Soldier Boy lies in a state of preservation. Hence, we can anticipate Soldier Boy’s reappearance in Season 5, and the final sequence hinted that Kessler, portrayed by Karl Urban, will remain a formidable adversary for Butcher in their upcoming confrontation.

Will The Boys Season 5 Have a Supernatural Reunion?

As a dedicated gamer and avid fan of “The Boys,” I’ve been eagerly awaiting the possibility of seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jared Padalecki together in this exciting series. For what feels like ages, fans have been clamoring for Eric Kripke, the brilliant creator of both “The Boys” and “Supernatural,” to make it happen. However, scheduling conflicts have made it a challenge.

As a passionate gamer and avid fan of “The Boys,” I’m thrilled to share some exciting news. Jensen Ackles, aka Padalecki, has given us a hint of his potential involvement in Season 5 of this popular show. In an interview with Collider back in April, he expressed his strong desire to join the final season. However, there’s a catch – he’s got one condition that needs to be met before he can officially sign on.

“When he suggests working together on the show again, I usually reply, ‘Look, I’m a 41-year-old mother of three now. I can’t dedicate three hours a day to workouts like I used to. I assume you’ll want me to bare it all, so please let me know in advance. I’d be happy to join, but first, I need to consult with a nutritionist and trainer, and perhaps use a hyperbaric chamber for several months to prepare.’ Of course, it would be exciting to collaborate with Kripke once more and work on such an excellent show that I admire.”

After fans have processed the shocking finale of “The Boys” Season 4, they’ll have to be patient before discovering how the stories of Butcher and Homelander unfold further. Contrary to popular belief, Homelander won’t receive his just desserts without an unexpectedly gruesome and gory turn of events in this series.
