The cast and characters of SYFY’s SurrealEstate

Luke Roman (Tim Rozon)

In simpler terms, Luke Roman is the core of the high-end real estate company called the Roman Agency, which has recently been referred to as the Roman-Ireland Agency in its third season. Known for his roles in “Wynonna Earp” and “Schitt’s Creek”, Tim Rozon portrays Luke. He established this agency as a means to utilize his unique skill throughout his life – an extraordinary knack for connecting with the spirit world. If he manages to persuade these spirits who linger in local homes to move elsewhere, it enables the houses to be sold without deterring potential buyers due to their ghostly presence.

In the second season, Luke momentarily lost his capacity to perceive the spiritual world, but eventually managed to reclaim it following a surprising meeting with his mysterious, absent mother. The upcoming third season of SurrealEstate will reveal how he’ll utilize these abilities again.

Susan Ireland (Sarah Levy)

In the first season, I brought Susan Ireland on board at our agency, bolstering our dynamic sales team and tapping into her untapped abilities to manipulate fire and influence her surroundings through telekinesis. During Season 2, this Sarah Levy character from Schitt’s Creek found herself ensnared by an evil spirit in her own dream house. In the season finale, she managed to break free from its grasp, rejoining our team and even claiming a stake as a co-owner of the newly christened Roman-Ireland Agency.

Susan is feisty, self-assured, and excels at closing real estate deals, but her loyalty to her friends never wavers. As she continues to master her enigmatic powers, she proves an ideal match for my confident yet empathetic approach to working with spirits (and people).

August Ripley (Maurice Dean Wint)

Maurice Dean Wint (known for roles in “Cube” and “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”) portrays August Ripley in “SurrealEstate,” a character who is sought out when mysterious, supernatural occurrences require technical expertise to decipher. Unlike his colleagues Luke and Susan, who often rush into paranormal perils headfirst, August adopts a more cautious strategy, carefully weighing every decision before acting (or perhaps summoning an exorcism). Kind-hearted, thoughtful, and academically accomplished, August was poised to start a new phase in his career as Season 2 of “SurrealEstate” concluded. However, it seems that the ghosts from his past at the Roman Agency may not let him move on peacefully as Season 3 of “SurrealEstate” unfolds.

Phil Orley (Adam Korson)

Phil Orley (previously a cleric but now an actor known from “Degrassi” and “2 Broke Girls”), played by Adam Korson, has found a secular career as a data miner at the Roman Agency. He digs deep into old public records to uncover the history of each property. Although Phil has left the church, it seems the church isn’t quite ready to let him go, as we discover in Season 2 when he experiences a string of strange meetings with an enigmatic religious figure.

By the conclusion of Season 2, Phil appeared poised for a return to the church, assuming a consultative position that could potentially separate him from his Roman Agency companions and thrust him into unexplored grounds of church-related intrigue in Rome. However, with a newborn child and lingering doubts about his connection to the faith, it remains uncertain where his upcoming Season 3 endeavor may lead him next.

Zooey L’Enfant (Savannah Basley)

Zooey L’Enfant, portrayed by Savannah Basley from Wynonna Earp, serves as the agency’s spirited Gen-Z wild card, frequently using sharp, youthful language towards her fellow team members. Despite being confined to a role that resembles a glorified receptionist, Zooey is constantly devising hasty plans to advance her professional opportunities. She remains fiercely loyal to the friends she’s made and, hinted at in the Season 2 finale, might have discovered her true vocation as a fledgling first-year law student.

Elena Juatco (Clytemnestra Lomax)

In Season 2, Lomax (Elena Juatco) enters the scene following the disappearance of Susan Ireland. Lomax is a character recognized by many from her guest role in Star Trek: Discovery’s Season 5. She keeps her feelings hidden and exudes quiet confidence, rarely tolerating foolishness. Her reserved demeanor can be overlooked considering her past as a funeral home operator who left her family business to join the agency.

Megan Donovan (Tennille Read)

In the larger Season 1 storyline centered around an unusually haunted house, Megan Donovan (portrayed by Tennille Read from “Workin’ Moms”) has maintained regular interactions with Luke throughout the first two seasons of “SurrealEstate”. As she finds herself gradually moving towards a possible romantic interest, Megan continues to juggle her demanding career as an aspiring physician. Given her high-powered position, it appears that keeping Luke, a single man with expertise in exorcising paranormal activities from the Donovan House inherited by his family, on speed dial is particularly useful due to the persistent supernatural occurrences at her home.
