The Flip Off’s Christina Haack Has One Regret After Third Divorce From Josh Hall: ‘It’s Exhausting.’

Although Josh Hall might not physically appear on “The Flip Off” beyond the premiere where he said, “My wife is pissing me off,” his name remains a frequent topic of discussion. This can be due to Christina Haack receiving teasing from her first ex-husband and fellow cast member Tarek El Moussa at times. On other occasions, such as in the latest episode slated for 2025, it’s Haack herself who brings up Hall, as she recently disclosed her one regret from their divorce.

In the “Old Friends, New Enemies” episode of HGTV’s house-flipping series (streamable with a Max subscription on February 26), Christina Haack confides in her friend Cassie about her third marital split, mentioning Josh Hall as the reason.

In a world of popcorn and dim lights, let me share my astonishment: This movie’s plot twists left me speechless! The character, in an unexpected turn, desires to retire on my dime. Reflecting upon the events unfolding on screen, I cannot help but wonder if I had foreseen the consequences, I would have either signed a prenuptial agreement or perhaps chosen a different path in the altar of matrimony.

In a subsequent statement, she explained that due to Josh Hall’s belief that everything in the Tennessee property they co-owned was rightfully his, even possessions she had acquired prior to their marriage, she was forced to remove all her belongings from the house.

Christina, formerly known as Haack, stated that her ex-spouse persists in demanding excessive sums for their divorce settlement. To a confidant, she expressed:

“My ex keeps asking for absurdly high figures to finalize our divorce.

He continually presents me with proposals, and he recently offered me another one, leaving me utterly perplexed as to why someone in such a favorable position would exploit me in this manner, more so when it’s someone who hasn’t needed employment for several years. It’s quite bewildering.

In a marriage that lasted just over three years and since Christina Haack doesn’t have any children with her current husband, Josh Hall, unlike her previous spouses, Tarek El Moussa and Ant Anstead, one might expect the division of assets wouldn’t be such a complex matter.

When Josh filed for divorce, he didn’t just ask for alimony from his ex-wife; he also sought ownership of any TV shows or specials they produced together for HGTV and Discovery during their marriage. This suggests that financial matters could be significant in the court proceedings, according to Christina Haack’s point of view, as she stated: “It seems that money is a major concern, at least from my perspective.

I’m feeling drained. I wish this task would end, but I fear it won’t be wrapping up any time in the near future.

As for how Josh Hall is holding up, he posted an Instagram Story recently after a magazine article alleged that he’d run into Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa at a restaurant. He wrote:

Received this amusing message, but strangely enough, I didn’t notice her. If only I had known, I definitely would have bought her a drink! 🍻 Bravo on the observation!

It’s hard to tell if Josh Hall is genuinely being noble or if he’s hiding sarcasm, but given the circumstances, I suspect it’s the latter. His weekly appearances on his estranged wife’s HGTV show haven’t been enjoyable, especially since she seems to be getting along so well with Tarek El Moussa and Ant Anstead. This is particularly challenging as Ant also appeared on the show and publicly backed his son’s mother.

The situation is always full of drama whenever Christina Haack is involved, so as we anticipate more news about her divorce from Josh Hall, catch how her confrontation with Tarek and Heather El Moussa concludes in the season finale of The Flip Off at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 5, on HGTV. The episode will also be available for streaming the following day on Max.
