As a heterosexual, Caucasian, Christian man who works as a writer or director based in Los Angeles County, I’ve effectively ruled out applying for around 97% of the writing and directing roles in Hollywood due to my demographic profile.
You might think it takes courage to openly express one’s views, and you’d be right. As an individual who cherishes the principle of free speech that is inherent in being an American, I should uphold this belief by openly standing by my words. The sacrifices made by countless brave men and women for this very freedom warrant no anonymity.
Here’s why…
- I have two screenplays in preproduction with two separate studios based in the L.A. area. Contracts haven’t been signed yet, so things could fall apart at any moment. And considering the entertainment industry is in flames right now, I don’t want “this writer’s MAGAin’ me feel uncomfortable,” to be the reason anyone pulls the plug on either project.
- It’s simple: I. Never. Wanted. To. Be. Political. I just wanted to be a good storyteller. I want to tell stories of the working man, spectacle over boredom, preserving life over seeking death, persistence over victimhood and comedies that roast everyone over comedies that mock Democrat-approved targets. That used to just be “normal.” Now, it’s apparently far Right.
In due time, once I acquire resources and standing, I might feel freer to express my non-Left narrative, however, there seems little point in doing so right now.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that renowned producer and magnate, Tyler Perry, has unveiled The Dream Collective, specifically designed for aspiring filmmakers! In essence, Perry is offering five up-and-coming creators the opportunity to produce short films in Atlanta using his team and resources, with a generous investment of $30,000 per project. What an incredible chance to bring our cinematic visions to life!

It’s fantastic news! Providing underappreciated and underrepresented storytellers with a chance to create their films is a generous act by Perry, using his wealth and knowledge. However, the challenge lies in identifying those aspiring filmmakers that The Dream Collective aims for – the unheard voices.
Oh, the diversity!
In a Hollywood or Sundance setting, genuine diversity might present as a woman who’s a Democrat, a black Democrat, a Latino/Latina Democrat, and an individual associated with Hamas. If you embody multiple roles as a Democrat, your odds of getting into a program significantly increase.
And if (a BIG if) there’s a white guy, he’s waving the flag at the Pride parade.
If The Dream Collective truly offers chances to filmmakers based on their talent and effort, I might find myself eating my previous statements. However, we’re all aware that when they mention “underrepresented voices,” they’re referring to a specific group. Since 2015, I’ve faced mockery in every fellowship, workshop, and opportunity because I don’t belong to the underrepresented demographic they seem to be targeting.
But okay, I’m misleading you a bit.
As a film critic, I’d say it’s certainly possible for a straight white male to secure a spot in the Wokedance Lab or Kathleen Kennedy’s TV Writing Incubator. However, the narratives that resonate most within these platforms often revolve around amplifying underrepresented voices and perspectives.

As a movie enthusiast, I’d like to express my deepest apologies for the privileges I hold, and share a story concept that resonates deeply with me. It revolves around a transgender immigrant character, navigating the complexities of entering the United States illegally. This individual is not just seeking refuge but also access to a fundamental right – an abortion – while facing opposition from certain segments of society.
Intriguingly, this character encounters a group of white mothers who are determined to censor educational materials by burning books containing adult content from school libraries. The journey becomes a struggle for identity, freedom, and human rights against the backdrop of societal prejudices and systemic challenges. This narrative promises an emotionally engaging and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
Also, throw in an Elon Musk or Ben Shapiro caricature somewhere.

Conservatives are often critical of liberal films, documentaries, TV programs, awards ceremonies, and art. However, have you ever wondered what liberals do that we (conservatives) don’t?
FUND art.
Regardless of whether their work may be considered subpar, they advocate for the upcoming group of creative minds who specialize in art and storytelling. This could be likened to liberals aiding fellow liberal individuals.
As you’re currently reading, Netflix has officially approved a live-action “Pokémon: Rings of Power.” Did you know who is responsible for writing and directing it? The same team behind the 2027 flop of the $250 million-budgeted “Dirty Harry” reboot (starring Chloë Grace Moretz, who refused to handle a firearm).
Where’s our Tyler Perry? Where’s our Dream Collective? Where’s our non-woke Sundance Lab?
Which individual is associated with the Right party in connection to “The Resurrection of the Christ” film production? Mel Gibson is that person. However, it’s crucial to remember that he’s an individual, and it’s best not to disturb him during his creative process on this project.
Zachary Levi? He’s a cool dude, and I want him to succeed, but he’s not a billionaire producer.
consider offering your films for rental on Amazon; audiences would be willing to pay to watch “Run Hide Fight” and “Terror on the Prairie,” if given the chance).
In simpler terms, the Palladium Pictures Incubator resembles a conservative nurturing program, although its focus lies on creating short documentaries rather than full-length narratives.
Additionally, weren’t you acquainted with this program prior to my mention? Has any notable conservative figure endorsed or publicized it?
As a filmmaker who wants to tell traditional stories with heartland people, I feel s out of luck.
In an effort to avoid sharing unrefined, repetitive narratives that some may find in poor taste, we choose to focus on discovering and showcasing a multitude of gifted individuals. Instead of producing works like “Velma”, “Snow Shit” or “Shout Your Abortion: The Sequel,” we aim for more sophisticated, engaging, and high-quality content.
We want to entertain and enlighten.
Instead, consider framing it like this: It’s crucial that we have the backing of our more conservative and moderate leaders for the authentic voices that are currently underrepresented. We should establish non-quota-based fellowships, research labs, film festivals, and storytelling platforms for traditional creators. This approach maintains balance and ensures diversity is not tokenized or forced, but rather a natural part of our collective narrative.
Generous millionaires take pride in helping artists who share their values make an impact on the world, and I’m confident that you, too, will find satisfaction in doing the same.
Apologies for the interruption, but I’ve got to dash off now – off to pitch my ideas for adapting “The Screwtape Letters” for Peacock. Wish me luck!
