‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 Trailer Teases Bad Behavior (and Parker Posey)

As a seasoned movie buff with a penchant for dark humor and a knack for spotting plot twists from a mile away, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation tinged with dread when it comes to “The White Lotus” Season 3. The allure of the exotic Thai setting, coupled with the star-studded cast, is undeniably enticing. However, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from my years of watching murder mysteries and satires, it’s that a posh resort filled with affluent guests and hotel staff is a recipe for disaster.

Looking forward to it! The eagerly awaited third season of “The White Lotus” is coming in February 2025. After months of tantalizing hints and sneak peeks from the set, we now have a trailer for this beloved satire that takes us into the lives of wealthy vacationers who are out of touch with their surroundings, and the hotel staff who endure their sometimes oblivious antics.

Inquiry: Given that the synopsis provided by HBO/Max describes the series as a social satire set at an elite Thai resort, where multiple guests and staff are depicted throughout a week’s time, could it be possible for there to be a murder or fatality in this season as well?

What Do We Know About ‘The White Lotus’ Season 3 So Far?

This season is particularly distinguished by its exceptionally talented ensemble of actors, including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal (also known as Lisa), Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood. Furthermore, the cast also includes Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Dom Hetrakul, Julian Kostov, Charlotte Le Bon, Morgana O’Reilly, and Shalini Peiris.

I was given a glimpse into the characters’ personalities and appearances through some somewhat unclear descriptions and images. This helps me visualize who will be staying at the hotel during this season. Here they are for you to see as well.

  • Leslie Bibb as KATE – one of three long-time friends on a girls’ trip after not having seen each other for a while
  • Carrie Coon as LAURIE – one of three long-time friends on a girls’ trip after not having seen each other for a while
  • Walton Goggins as RICK HATCHETT – a rugged man with a chip on his shoulder, traveling with his girlfriend Chelsea
  • Sarah Catherine Hook as PIPER RATLIFF – a college senior and middle child to Timothy and Victoria Ratliff, Piper is a religion studies major
  • Jason Isaacs as TIMOTHY RATLIFF – a wealthy businessman vacationing with his wife and three children
  • Lalisa Manobal as MOOK – one of the health mentors for guests staying at The White Lotus
  • Michelle Monaghan as JACLYN – one of three long-time friends on a girls’ trip after not having seen each other for a while
  • Sam Nivola as LOCHLAN RATLIFF – Timothy and Victoria Ratliff’s youngest, a high school senior
  • Lek Patravadi as SRITALA – one of the owners of The White Lotus and the visionary behind its wellness program
  • Parker Posey as VICTORIA RATLIFF – vacationing with her husband and three children
  • Natasha Rothwell as BELINDA – spa manager from The White Lotus in Hawaii
  • Patrick Schwarzenegger as SAXON RATLIFF – the eldest son of Timothy and Victoria Ratliff, Saxon works for his father’s successful company
  • Tayme Thapthimthong as GAITOK – a security guard at The White Lotus
  • Aimee Lou Wood as CHELSEA – a free-spirit, traveling with her on-edge older boyfriend Rick

As a devoted fan of The White Lotus, I can’t hide my excitement at seeing the return of Natasha Rothwell’s character, Belinda, from the first season. Having survived the tragic events of season two, some speculated that she might have taken Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge)’s generous offer to fund her wellness business and gone on a vacation. However, it appears that Belinda is back for work purposes, learning from Lek Patravadi’s Sritala and Lalisa Manobal’s Mook.

The show has been astonishingly nominated for 43 Emmy Awards throughout its first two seasons, taking home 15 of them, among them the Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series award for Jennifer Coolidge in her triumphant return to acting. It’s clear that this season will likely bring more awards for its talented ensemble cast.

The Mike White-created and written series will return Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 9pm ET/PT.
