Moving forward without any signs of slowing down, thisisneverthat will carry on into 2025. Following their first collaboration of the year, a joint effort with Gramicci, they are already preparing for the next project. For the very first time, thisisneverthat is partnering with Dr. Martens to reimagine a few iconic designs from the footwear legend’s storied history.

The team has developed a robust design philosophy that harmoniously combines DM’s traditional workwear style with thisisneverthat’s simplistic, vintage-inspired aesthetic. Keeping this idea in mind, they have redesigned tough, modernized versions of two Dr. Martens models: the 1460 boot and the 1461 shoe.

Initially, the design of the 1460 boot incorporates vintage brass accents, while its upper is made from Full Grain leather that gives a slightly oily feel. A pull tab enhances the silhouette at the back, and co-branded logos are marked on the inner side. On the other hand, the second design offers a sleek upgrade to the 1461 shoe, with silver hardware adorning it. The low-top model retains DM’s signature lug outsole, and the branding is found on the quarter.
