Throne and Liberty: How to Upgrade Gear

As a seasoned gamer with years of MMORPG experience under my belt, I can confidently say that Throne and Liberty has captured my attention like no other game in recent memory. The blend of exploration, epic battles, and ever-changing landscapes is simply captivating, not to mention the robust gear system that plays a crucial role in character growth and overall gameplay.

In simpler terms, “Throne and Liberty” is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) where you’ll find yourself immersed in endless exploration, grand battles, and landscapes that constantly evolve. A crucial aspect of this game is its sophisticated equipment system, which plays a vital role in your character development and enhances the overall gaming experience.

Advancement in gear is accumulative, which means enhancements made to equipment at any stage persist when moving up to superior levels. This piece will delve into effective methods for improving your gear, covering necessary resources as well.

How To Upgrade Gear in Throne and Liberty

You can manage the upgrade process by navigating to the Equipment Enchanting system within the game’s menu, located under the items section.

In this setup, you can enhance your weapons, defensive gear, and additional items using special resources known as Growthstones. These resources come in various kinds and degrees of scarcity.

Upon entering, locate the “Level Up” tab to view all your currently worn equipment. You can then decide what to enhance by spending Growthstones and Sollant, our in-game money, from this screen.

Growthstones are sorted according to the kind of equipment they enhance, and the rarity of the stones should correspond with that of the item being upgraded. When you utilize a Growthstone, the equipment will receive a certain amount of experience points, with the amount depending on the type of stone employed.

Here’s a breakdown of the different types of Growthstones and their effects:

  • Common Growthstone
    • Effect: Gives a basic enhancement, adding a small increment to the EXP bar.
    • Chance of Success: Around a 40% chance to increase the EXP by about 35%.
      • Best for early-game or low-rarity gear like Uncommon items. Common Growthstones will help your gear slowly gain levels but require more attempts to fully level up the item.
  • Intermediate Growthstone
    • Effect: Provides a better EXP boost than Common Growthstones.
    • Chance of Success: Roughly a 30% chance to increase EXP by 40%.
      • Suitable for mid-tier gear, this type of Growthstone gives a moderate increase in EXP per use. It’s effective for progressing your gear faster than with Common Growthstones but still requires multiple attempts.
  • Greater Growthstone
    • Effect: Gives a higher EXP gain than common and intermediate stones.
    • Chance of Success: Typically around a 20% chance to give a 60% EXP boost.
      • Best used for rarer gear, such as Rare and Epic items. The success rate is lower, but the EXP boost per attempt is much higher.
  • Special Growthstone
    • Effect: Provides the highest possible EXP boost in one go.
    • Chance of Success: Roughly 10% chance to give a full 100% EXP boost.
      • This is the most valuable type of Growthstone and is ideal for very high-level or rare gear where you want to maximize the EXP gain in the fewest attempts. It’s harder to obtain but can dramatically speed up the upgrade process when used.

The upgrade process uses a roll system with varying growth rates, where each use of Growthstones offers different amounts of EXP based on the stone’s rarity. This means some attempts might provide more EXP than others.

Here’s a breakdown of the rarities in the game:

  • Common (White) – Basic gear that offers minimal stats and no special bonuses or traits. It’s typically used in the very early stages of the game. Common items don’t usually progress far in upgrades, and players tend to replace them quickly as they gather better gear.
  • Uncommon (Green) – This is a step up from Common Gear, giving you better stats and maybe a trait or two. This gear is simpler to upgrade in the early game and can typically reach level six before hitting its max potential.
  • Rare (Blue) – This gear provides much better base stats than Uncommon items, often with more rune slots and traits. It’s more durable in terms of gameplay and is useful for mid-level content. Rare items can typically be upgraded to level nine.
  • Epic (Purple) – This gear is top-notch equipment that gives major stat boosts, multiple rune slots, and more traits. This is where gear starts becoming more specialized and valuable. This can also go beyond level nine and is a key component of high-level play.
  • Legendary (Yellow) – The highest rarity level in the game, they offer the best stats, the most traits, and the most rune slots. Legendary gear has the highest potential for upgrades, as they offer maximum power for end-game content.

Item advancement may move swiftly or gradually based on chance, but rest assured that there’s always progress made with each try, and you won’t squander the resources. (When an item hits its maximum level limit, further upgrades are impossible.)

As a gamer, I can tell you that when you’ve leveled up an item through upgrades, you don’t have to discard it just yet! You can utilize the ‘Transfer’ tab to move some of that gained experience onto a more advanced piece of equipment instead. This system enables you to funnel a part of the experience from a lower-quality item into a superior one, helping you progress faster in the game.

To obtain maximum benefit from this procedure, it’s crucial to coordinate transfer times carefully since the initial object is set to be dismantled during the process.
