Vans and BAPE have a long history of collaborating, producing many eye-catching versions of the Old Skool and Sk8-Mid sneakers. Now, they’re coming together once more to create fresh takes on these classic Vans designs.
The Old Skool model from BAPE boasts camouflage print decorating its side panels in unbalanced shades of pink, blue, and green. The sole is made of vulcanized rubber and bears the distinct BAPE shark teeth mark. A BAPE Ape Head charm graces the lace-up area, while the Vans Sidestripe has been updated with BAPE’s STA logo.
The Sk8-Mid sneaker is covered in BAPE’s green camouflage design on its side panels. Just like the Old Skool model, “A Bathing Ape” and “Off the Wall” are written in white letters on the black vamp area. The signature Ape Head shoelace charm and revamped Sidestripe can also be found on the Sk8-Mid.
Look more closely at the image above and mark your calendars: The Vans x Bape collaboration Old Skool and Sk8-Mid shoes will be available starting July 26, both on the Vans website and at BAPE’s physical stores.
