As a dedicated follower of Indian cinema and politics, I must say that Vikrant Massey’s journey with The Sabarmati Report has been truly inspiring. Having followed his career since the beginning, it is heartening to see him rise to such heights, garnering praise from no less than our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On Sunday, Narendra Modi, the Indian Prime Minister, showered praise on the show “The Basmati Report,” starring Vikrant Massey, remarking that the truth is being revealed. Touched by the praise from the Prime Minister, Massey wrote a heartfelt message expressing his appreciation and explaining how this acknowledgement has inspired him and the team.
17th November saw Vikrant Massey posting a screenshot of a tweet from PM Narendra Modi. In response to his tweet, the actor expressed gratitude in Hindi, saying “Dear Prime Minister, your kind words about #TheSabarmatiReport have greatly motivated us.
“Your affection towards #TheSabarmatiReport demonstrates that we are moving in the correct direction. I am grateful for your kindness and support. It’s important to remember, history only nurtures what has fallen. No matter how enduring the era of deception may be, truth ultimately brings change.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted the trailer for The Sabarmati Report on his X account and commented, “Wise words! It’s great that the truth is being revealed in a manner that everyone can understand. A deceptive storyline can last only for a short while before the facts are exposed!
Following the unveiling of the movie trailer, I found myself facing questions about my integrity due to my role in the production. In addressing these concerns, I took the opportunity to express my views during an interview with Shubhankar Mishra, stressing that genuine secularism lies not just in tolerating but actively standing by others, irrespective of their religious beliefs, caste, or origins.
As a dedicated follower, I’m sharing about “The Sabarmati Report,” a captivating production directed by the talented Dheeraj Sarna. This film draws inspiration from a chilling real-life event – the arson of the S-6 coach of the Sabarmati Express near Godhra station in Gujarat on February 27, 2002. In this tragic incident, 59 Hindu pilgrims returning from Ayodhya lost their lives as the train was set ablaze. This heartrending event sparked a series of riots that shook Gujarat that year.
Beyond just Vikrant, the film boasts powerhouse performances from Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in key roles. This cinematic masterpiece is a joint production by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan, and it graced the silver screen earlier this week on November 15, 2024. I, as an ardent fan, am eagerly waiting to immerse myself in its story!
