A highly anticipated movie from an Academy Award-winning director and esteemed Hollywood filmmaker is facing unexpected hurdles. The Writers Guild of America West (WGA) has imposed a ban on writers working on this project, titled “Wall of White.” This film is based on Jennifer Woodlief’s book, “A Wall of White: The True Story of Heroism and Survival in the Face of a Deadly Avalanche,” and its related Netflix documentary, “Buried: The 1982 Alpine Meadows Avalanche.” Martin Scorsese is involved as a producer, along with Randall Emmett. It’s Emmett’s involvement that has led to issues in production.
