“The White Lotus” served up plenty of shocking moments in its third season.
The passionate speech delivered by guest actor Sam Rockwell is particularly memorable, as is the emotional bond between co-stars Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola, shown in their brotherly kiss.
Could we say instead: In an unexpected turn of events, a woman around 40 years old, portrayed by Leslie Bibb, reveals to what appear to be her liberal companions that she cast her vote for Donald Trump.
It appears that the role was demanding for Carrie Coon, who portrayed Laurie in the group of three friends, alongside Bibb’s character and Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan).
Why? It turns out the talented Coon suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome in real life.
The 44-year-old actress shared with the hosts of “The View” her stance on maintaining friendship with someone supporting the MAGA movement, and in essence, she indicated that such a friendship would likely end.
At one point, discussions about it were feasible. However, when a society is experiencing an authoritarian shift, the system becomes sealed off. The leader serves as the sole provider of information, making it impermeable for outsiders. When you’re trapped within this loop of controlled information, it becomes exceedingly difficult to discuss anything meaningful because there’s no foundation in reality.
She pointed out that it’s entirely normal to have friends with diverse viewpoints. However, finding pleasure in spending time with someone who supports Donald Trump is a unique situation.
“I believe in science … there’s no middle ground there.”

Celebrity figure Coon isn’t the only one taking a stand in high-profile circles. The lesser-known band, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, has recently declared that they don’t wish for supporters of President Trump to attend their concerts.
If you supported Donald Trump in elections, I kindly ask that you do not attend my performances. My shows will consistently promote progressive ideologies, feature the teachings of Jesus, celebrate diversity and unity across all aspects of life, and foster a harmonious environment. Given our differing viewpoints, it wouldn’t be suitable for you to join us. Refunds are available if needed. I hope this clarifies things. Farewell.
Last year towards the end, co-host Sunny Hostin on “The View” declared that she wouldn’t extend an invitation for Thanksgiving to someone who voted for Donald Trump.
The individual expressed that President-elect Trump is distinctly different from other candidates she’s encountered, not only due to his words and actions, but also what she expects from him in the future. She considers this more of a moral concern for herself and believes it resonates with others as well. She added that the election of Bush didn’t evoke similar feelings; even if one disagreed with his policies, there was less of a sense that he had serious character or moral flaws.
Celebrities such as Eminem and Seth Meyers expressed comparable viewpoints during former President Trump’s first term. In 2017, the 52-year-old rapper expressed his feelings through a song, asking Trump supporters to cease listening to his music.
The far-Left Meyers echoed that sentiment from his NBC perch.
Take a stand on this matter. Are you backing him or the show that consistently ridicules and belittles him? It can be challenging, but it’s time to take a stance. To put it simply, if you support Trump, then please move on.
