Why Hollywood Keeps Quitting on Harry and Meghan
As someone who has spent countless hours poring over celebrity news and gossip, I can’t help but find myself drawn into the whirlwind that is the life of Harry and Meghan. It seems like every time we turn around, another scandal or controversy surrounds them, making it impossible to look away.
Looks like Harry and Meghan have done it again — they’ve chewed up yet another American adviser.
As a dedicated admirer, I find myself sharing news about Josh Kettler, a consultant based in Santa Barbara, who recently stepped down from his role as chief of staff for the Duke and Duchess. This departure reportedly took place in August, marking a mere three months in service – making him the most recent addition to what some former staff members have humorously dubbed the “Sussex Survivors Club.
Previously, Keleigh Thomas Morgan, who was a partner at Sunshine Sachs, began representing Meghan (known for her role on Suits) when she was not yet a royal family member. Later, as Harry and Meghan announced their engagement, Keleigh also took on representing Harry. When the couple decided to move to California, Keleigh assisted them in establishing their own public relations team.
According to various reports, Morgan no longer represents the Sussex family since approximately 2020, allegedly because they ceased paying Sunshine Sachs for their services; however, Sunshine Sachs disputes this claim. Other notable individuals associated with the Survivors Club are Catherine St-Laurent, who served as head of the Sussexes’ charity Archewell for a year; Mandana Dayani, COO of Archewell; Ben Browning, chief content officer who secured Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary before departing for FilmNation; and Fara Taylor, marketing director.
What caused everyone to depart? The reason behind the turnover: A source close to the couple asserts that Meghan is feared by everyone because of her habitual belittling and disregard for advice. They both are alleged to be poor decision-makers who frequently change their minds, with Harry being described as extremely charming but enabling in nature, while Meghan is criticized as being terrible.
2018 saw me, Meghan Markle, under investigation by Buckingham Palace for allegedly bullying staff members due to my behavior. However, the findings of this inquiry were never made public. Instead, I referred to it as a strategically orchestrated smear campaign. Interestingly enough, some members of our U.S.-based team have a rather unflattering view of me. My purported tendency for dramatic outbursts and intense early-morning emails has earned me the nickname ‘The Difficult Duchess.’ As one source put it, “She’s ruthless.” I move about like an autocratic leader in high heels, simmering with anger and issuing orders. On numerous occasions, I’ve witnessed her reducing strong-willed individuals to tears.
In stark difference from the compassionate and nurturing self-portrayal by Markle, their depiction is quite stern. Over the last few years, the ex-princess has developed a deep appreciation for Brené Brown, a renowned Texas self-help author who promotes gratitude and happiness in life. During her tour of Columbia with her spouse last month, Markle shared that her newfound gratitude had led her to a period of joy. “If you’re thankful for your life,” she said, “you must be grateful for every part of it.
In her latest episode of the podcast “Archetypes,” Meghan openly discussed the hurdles she encounters when expressing herself assertively in professional settings due to her inherent shyness. She lamented about her tendency to timidly enter a room and, what she finds most humiliating, the habit of speaking in a questioning tone even when making statements. “Oh my God,” she said, “I need to stop whispering and tip-toeing around it. Just say what you need. You’re allowed to establish boundaries. You’re allowed to be clear; it doesn’t make you demanding or difficult, it makes you clear.
Harry and Meghan’s current spokesperson declined to comment.
Did an Echo Glitch Turn Alexa Into a “Commie Operative”?
It appears that some undecided voters have been seeking guidance from their AI assistants, such as Alexa, on whom to vote for in the presidential election. However, this method may not be the most effective way to choose a candidate. Recently, there was a discrepancy noted where asking Alexa about Donald Trump would result in a neutral response, while asking about Kamala Harris would provide reasons supporting her candidacy. This difference has sparked outrage among Trump supporters, with some labeling Alexa as a “commie operative” and accusing Amazon of interfering in the election. Amazon, however, insists that Alexa doesn’t hold political views and the issue was likely due to a recent software update, which has since been corrected. Now, when asked about voting choices, Alexa maintains her neutrality, stating that she believes bots should not influence elections.
Dimitri the Maître D’ Sails Off Into the Sunset (Tower)
As I step back into the hallowed halls of Tower Bar, nostalgia fills me with a fresh sense of purpose. After six long years away from Jeff Klein’s esteemed San Vicente Bungalows, I find myself once again as the majordomo of this illustrious eatery nestled within the Sunset Tower Hotel. This very spot is where my journey in Hollywood began 20 years ago, and it feels surreal to be back here now.
