It’s not just about laughs and drama, it’s about life, struggles, and finding oneself – something we all can relate to. Natasha Rothwell shines as Mel, a character who, unlike most TV leads, isn’t pretending to have her life figured out. She’s relatable, raw, and real.

Following an unintended mix-up of belongings with a late roommate at the hospital, Mel unexpectedly comes across the elderly woman’s credit card. In keeping with the life advice the woman once shared, she decides to utilize this card for booking a vacation to Maui, aiming to attend her former partner’s wedding on New Year’s Day. Remarkably, Mel manages to carry out this unauthorized transaction without being caught throughout the entire season, eventually sharing her secret exploit with others.

Unfortunately, her criminal actions come back to haunt her as she is apprehended by the police upon returning to JFK following her journey. The series finale leaves viewers curious about a variety of questions, such as what will become of her and whether or not anyone informed on her to the police.

A compelling cliffhanger makes a strong case for Hulu to continue airing the series, yet history shows that streaming platforms often terminate shows prematurely, leaving fans wanting more. Fervently hoping that “How to Die Alone” won’t become another short-lived production.

There’s So Much Romantic Potential For All The Characters

In the intriguing series titled “How to Die Alone“, there’s an unexpected abundance of romantic entanglements. Throughout the eight episodes, Mel encounters at least three distinct admirers. By the finale, it appears she might have come to terms with Terrance (KeiLyn Durrel Jones) as a potential life partner, making their relationship progression in a potential second season an exciting prospect for fans rooting for them, like myself.

Beyond Mel’s romantic entanglements, there are several other love stories and potential conflicts brewing in upcoming seasons.
