Xbox Game Pass has made Call of Duty ‘hell’ after PC cheaters soar

As a dedicated Call of Duty fan who has spent countless hours mastering Modern Warfare 3 over the years, I am deeply disappointed by the recent turn of events following its addition to Xbox Game Pass. The idea of making more gamers enjoy this iconic game was an exciting prospect, but it seems that Microsoft’s good intentions have been exploited by a horde of hackers.

The addition of Call of Duty to Xbox Game Pass was aligned with Microsoft’s goal of “bringing gaming to more people than ever,” yet this open approach may not have been beneficial for Activision’s shooter title. Unfortunately, with these expanded entryways, there is no mechanism in place to screen out unwanted elements.

Instead of an influx of new players, it seems that the Game Pass has attracted an unwanted crowd – hackers. To such an extent that some players describe playing Modern Warfare 3 as “hell,” due to the high number of hackers joining the game unlawfully.

Modern Warfare 3 slammed as ‘hell’ after Xbox Game Pass release

Hackers have gained access to Call of Duty for free on Xbox Game Pass, despite using a PC. This means they can play the game on their console as well. We’re in trouble.

In a groundbreaking move, MW3 is now available on Game Pass as the first Call of Duty title, with Black Ops 6 following suit later in the year. However, this decision is starting to be regretted, as some PC gamers are posing as console users and enabling cheating software. (Or, Some PC players are deceitfully accessing Game Pass as if they were console users and using prohibited software to gain an unfair advantage.)

PC gamers using Game Pass were unintentionally identified as Xbox users, making it possible for unauthorized individuals to enjoy Modern Warfare 3 at no extra cost instead of paying the usual $70 price tag.

As a gamer, I’ve found an awesome way to experience Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) without any financial risk. With Game Pass, you can actually try before you buy, thanks to the free trials they offer. This comes in handy if you’ve encountered some issues with your account, like getting banned. Since MW3’s launch last week, hackers have been a significant concern for the gaming community. In particular, Ranked play has taken a hit due to their disruptive activities.

It’s clear that these shortcuts are being used blatantly, with players relying on aimbots and spinning in respawn areas to shoot enemies through walls from various locations around the map.

Got on console to escape them…. Xbox ranked play is now chalked

As a dedicated gamer like Chris “Parasite” Duarte, I’ve had my fair share of frustration with the Call of Duty ranked mode lately. The cheating issue has reached new heights. On PC, some players use wall hacks and aimbots to gain an unfair advantage. Others utilize game pass to play crossplay on Xbox, exploiting the system with hacks. And let’s not forget about the PS5 users who employ Cronus and Xim controllers with auto-pinging – essentially having wall hacks at their disposal. It’s unbelievable, really.

Brodie “Nfinity” Lyon, a Call of Duty caster, lamented, “It’s disheartening to see how unenjoyable ranked play has become in Modern Warfare 3. Hackers have significantly impacted the gameplay experience, making it unfortunate as I truly enjoy competing.”

Microsoft is probably planning to end the free access to Modern Warfare 3 before the release of Black Ops 6, as the large number of players has not been welcomed by all.
