As a gamer who’s been through countless musical evolutions, I must admit, 070 Shake‘s announcement of her upcoming album “Petrichor” has me pretty pumped! After a long wait since her last studio project in 2022, this new offering promises to be a refreshing soundtrack for my gaming sessions. The retro vibe of “Winter Baby” and the synth-heavy “New Jersey Blues” have already caught my attention, and I can’t help but feel a nostalgic buzz when I think about blasting these tracks during late-night gaming marathons.
070 Shake has made an official announcement about her upcoming studio project named Petrichor, which will be her first since 2022. Yesterday, she unexpectedly shared a sneak peek of the album’s main single with fans, and today, she unveiled the full version of “Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues” along with confirming the release date for Petrichor.
On November 15th, the album “Petrichor” will be released, which is the musician’s first complete work since her sophomore LP “You Can’t Kill Me“. The cover art for this release features a black-and-white image that resembles a face.

The opening two-part song starts with “Winter Baby,” a nostalgic tune where Shake expresses his feelings for Lily-Rose Depp, his lover. This song is complemented by a music video directed by Bennett Watanabe, featuring Lily-Rose Depp herself. The track’s vintage vibe is mirrored in the enchanting music video as well.
Approximately midway through its two-and-a-half-minute duration, the song titled “New Jersey Blues” commences. Propelled by a synthesizer-dominated tune, Shake croons to Depp while dancing on stage. On the chorus, she sings, “New Jersey Blues / My baby helps me cope / Cherry syrup serves as a remedy for nightmares.
Per Spotify’s listing of the album, Petrichor is set to round out at 13 tracks.
