9 The Deep Forced to Eat Timothy
Season 3, Episode 3 – “Barbary Coast”
In the popular series “The Boys,” one character who often draws criticism is The Deep. In the third episode of Season 3, entitled “Barbary Coast,” he encounters one of the most revolting and embarrassing experiences in his lifetime.
1) In the opening scene, Homelander grapples with the fallout from his outburst, but when Ashley tells him that the public sees him as self-assured and remorseless, he’s overjoyed. 8 Termite’s Baffling Sexual Scene
Season 3, Episode 1 – “Payback”
As a devoted fan, I’ve always admired how The Boys cleverly handles superhero deaths – just as each character is unique with their powers bestowed by Compound V, they also possess vulnerabilities that often lead to their fitting demises. And true to form, the first episode of Season 3, titled “Payback,” kicks off with a scene so shocking it left me speechless.
A tiny superhero named Termite, who can shrink to minuscule proportions, is enjoying a lively gathering when he impulsively decides to add excitement for the audience. He reduces in size and gains entry into his companion’s body through their male organ, providing pleasure internally.
Due to being under the influence of drugs, Termite unfortunately suffers a sneezing fit, which leads to a terrifying sequence as he returns to his regular size while trapped inside his partner. This results in a disturbing explosion that leaves a lasting impact. The scene is intensely graphic and startling, and it underscores the violent themes and unpredictable, ominous aspects of the superpowers portrayed throughout the season.
7 Hugh Sr. Going Bonkers at the Hospital
Season 4, Episode 5 – “Beware of the Jabberwock, My Son”
In the latest season 4, an intriguingly arranged episode of “The Boys” was unveiled. Entitled after Lewis Carroll’s well-known nonsensical poem, the episode named “Caution: The Jabberwock, Young One” kicks off by poking fun at the Marvel Cinematic Universe through a presentation of Vought’s homegrown cinematic universe at a fan convention.
Simultaneously, Hughie grapples with moral dilemmas as he comes to terms with the revelation that his mother, Daphne, administered Compound V to his father, Hugh Sr., even after he expressed second thoughts. Although Hugh Sr. appears to be in fine condition and doesn’t show any peculiar symptoms, he has started forgetting small details.
In moments when his abilities are triggered, it becomes clear that Hugh Sr. possesses teleportation and the ability to pass through solid objects. Overwhelmed by fear and disorientation, he unintentionally causes harm to numerous innocent lives by moving straight through them. Desperate, he even lashes out at Daphne for abandoning him and Hughie long ago. When he menaces her with his life, Hughie intervenes, attempting to soothe him before ultimately deciding to put him down humanely.
At this juncture, the series reaches a crucial crossroads as it vividly portrays the terror and despair that overtakes an ordinary individual when, under the influence of Compound V, he succumbs to its brutal aftermath.
6 The Entire Herogasm
Season 3, Episode 6 – “Herogasm”
Enthusiasts of the comic book couldn’t wait to witness how the scene emblematic of “The Boys” would be brought to life on TV, and let me tell you, they weren’t disappointed in the least.
Titled fittingly, “Herogasm” offered some of the most shocking scenes within the series. This episode focuses on a clandestine yearly occasion where superheroes indulge in their wildest pleasures, under the condition that they first sign a non-disclosure agreement. The entire scene is a chaotic mix of unusual behavior and extravagance, with superheroes participating in various explicit acts. The camera does not flinch from capturing the graphic details and the chaos unfolding within the mansion.
Despite the pandemonium, several crucial figures unexpectedly engage in tense encounters and form unlikely partnerships. Among the much-hyped showdowns, a three-way battle involving Butcher, Soldier Boy, and Homelander results in the near-extinction of most Supes who were present at the gathering. This event also sheds light on the deep-seated corruption within Vought. A-Train experiences a heart attack, Starlight challenges Homelander’s hypocrisy and exposes the grim realities of the superhero realm, and Mother’s Milk has a confidential conversation with Soldier Boy.
5 A-Train Kills Popclaw
Season 1, Episode 5 – “Good for the Soul”
In the initial season of “The Boys,” significant attention was paid to a founding member of The Seven, specifically A-Train. It was none other than him whose actions at the start of the show laid the groundwork for the entire series. Under the effects of Compound V, a substance he’d been covertly using to boost his superpowers, A-Train tragically plowed through Robin, Hughie’s girlfriend, in the first episode.
When Hughie opted for retribution and allied with Butcher and his associates, the trio had Popclaw, A-Train’s girlfriend who was herself tormented, on their hit list.
Following her disclosure about Compound V to Butcher, she also admits the same secret to A-Train. A-Train had hoped to make their relationship official but needed approval from Vought, so he manipulated this situation by exploiting her desire. Eventually, he fatally injected his girlfriend with a lethal dose of heroin. This chilling incident serves as a stark reminder for A-Train of the ethical dilemmas that superheroes often face in their lives.
4 Vought on Ice Slaughter Scene
Season 4, Episode 3 – “We’ll Keep the Red Flag Flying Here”
For quite some time, Vought International has been responsible for preserving and promoting The Seven, thanks to their innovative team’s continuous stream of new ideas. In Season 4, Episode 3 titled “‘We’ll Keep the Red Flag Flying Here,’“, we observe a training session featuring actors portraying members of The Seven engaged in ice skating performances and singing songs with alt-right undertones in an arena.
Hughie and M.M. stealthily show up to observe Homelander and Sister Sage, but they’re taken aback when Neuman appears with her child. Later, Hughie sneaks into the ventilation system to listen in, only to inadvertently sweat on Homelander.
Of course, Homelander becomes enraged and embarks on a destructive rampage, blasting anything in his path. From the ventilation systems to the stairs, from the spectators to the ice skaters rehearsing for their Christmas performance, Homelander’s wrath knows no bounds – he doesn’t discriminate between people or objects. Despite its lighthearted tone, this scene is deeply troubling.
3 Crashing of Flight 37
Season 1, Episode 4 – “The Female of the Species”
In the fourth episode of Season 1, named “The Female of the Species,” we witness a tense situation unfold on Flight 37, as it is seized by terrorists. Homelander and Queen Maeve are deployed to rescue the plane, successfully eliminating the hijackers and earning praise from the grateful passengers.
However, the situation abruptly changes as an extra hijacker is discovered within the cockpit. Already having murdered the co-pilot, he becomes frantic upon encountering Homelander and Queen Maeve, resulting in him slaying the pilot too. Homelander’s hasty use of his laser weapon causes extensive damage to the plane’s controls, rendering it impossible to maintain flight stability.
In the heat of the moment, as I and my fellow passengers grapple with our grim predicament, a whirlwind of confusion erupts around us. Maeve offers her insightful ideas, but they’re swiftly dismissed by Homelander as impractical. With an icy demeanor, he orders the abandonment of the plane, disregarding Queen Maeve’s heartfelt pleas to spare some of us from this fate.
In this emotional sequence, Maeve makes an effort to console a sobbing child, setting the stage early on in the series for a glimpse into Homelander’s merciless personality and Maeve’s sense of powerlessness. This pivotal scene carries significant weight, shaping both characters’ journeys as they unfold throughout the story.
2 Sister Sage Asking the Deep to Lobotomize Her
Season 4, Episode 4 – “Wisdom of the Ages”
It’s not surprising when things get excessively graphic and disturbing in a series like “The Boys,” which is already known for its extreme violence. However, even by its standards, the fourth episode of Season 4, titled “Wisdom of the Ages,” takes it to a new level. In this episode, we witness Sister Sage requesting The Deep to perform a frontal lobotomy on her.
It seems that being the world’s smartest person is overwhelming for Sister Sage. Remarkably, she can’t perish despite brain injuries because it regenerates in a few hours. Interestingly, occasional lobotomies help calm her down and bring her joy since she gets to experience life like an ordinary person, albeit briefly. In the depicted scene, the camera focuses intimately on every painful step as Sage guides Deep on how to insert the device into her skull through her eye.
1 The Boys Getting Attacked by Supe Sheep
Season 4, Episode 5 – “Beware the Jabberwock, My Son”
In Season 4 of “The Boys,” some viewers found issues with the narrative flow and tempo, yet it didn’t skimp on providing strange and unforgettable scenes. Around the midpoint of Episode 5, titled “Beware the Jabberwock, My Son,” Butcher discloses that a Super virus is being developed at Godolkin University. However, since Neuman had already obtained it, they are compelled to negotiate with Stan Edgar. He consents, leading them to an old farm. The Boys then stumble upon a lab, but find it empty apart from blood spattered throughout.
Immediately following, Neuman arrives, prompting the group to search for Neuman’s husband, Sameer – an individual who had been testing the potency of a virus on farm livestock, specifically sheep. Unfortunately, a breach occurred, causing all the sheep to become drowsy and transform into aggressive, airborne creatures.
At first glance, the sheep seem completely innocent, but it doesn’t take a moment’s time for things to turn sinister. Suddenly, these seemingly gentle creatures attack Neuman’s men with surprising ferocity, ripping their flesh and emitting bloodcurdling screams. The scene is intense, dreamlike, and utterly shocking.
