10 years of Kick: Remember Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez's little co-star Bubbles? Here's how she looks now

As a huge fan of Bollywood movies, I can’t help but feel nostalgic as I reminisce about one of my all-time favorite films, Kick, featuring none other than the charismatic Salman Khan and the stunning Jacqueline Fernandez. It’s hard to believe that a decade has passed since the release of this action-packed masterpiece directed by the talented Sajid Nadiadwala.

Today, July 25, marks the 10-year anniversary of the release of “Kick,” a box office success starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez. Sajid Nadiadwala helmed the film’s direction, making it one of the most successful productions in Indian cinema history.

To mark this significant moment, we bring you an engaging “before and after” piece highlighting Riya Vij’s transformation. Remember her as Bubbles from the movie? Prepare to be amazed by her current appearance.

Riya Vij worked in Kick, Gippi, and Kapoor & Sons

In the movie “Kick,” Riya Vij, who was a young supporting actress alongside Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez, portrayed the character named Bubbles. This role came with the added layer that her on-screen persona was afflicted by an illness within the film’s narrative.

Devi Lal Singh (portrayed by Salman) derives pleasure from only engaging in activities that excite him. In his quest for thrills, he assumes the disguise of a ‘Devil’ and transforms into an infamous thief. Jacqueline took on the character of Dr. Shaina Mehra.

In addition to them, the actors Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mithun Chakraborty, and some others are part of the cast.

Meanwhile, let’s have a look at how Riya Vij aka Bubbles looks in recent past time:

As an obsessed fan, I’d say: Riya brought Gurpreet Kaur to life in the film “Gippi.” In this heartwarming story, we follow Gippi, a teenager dealing with the challenges of growing up and being overweight. It’s a tough journey for her as she grapples with the physical and social transformations that come with adolescence. But through it all, Riya brilliantly portrays how Gippi learns to overcome her insecurities and embrace herself – quirks and all. In “Kapoor & Sons,” Riya shines once again, adding depth and dimension to her character. These films showcase the versatility and talent of this remarkable actress.

In the film Kapoor & Sons, Riya was portrayed as Alia Bhatt’s character, Tia’s friend. The cast includes Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan along with other actors. As the story unfolds, brothers Arjun and Rahul make a visit home to care for their ailing grandfather. However, family tensions escalate when a young woman inadvertently creates discord between them.

Riya Vij once said she wanted to become like Kareena Kapoor Khan

During an interview with PTI in the year 2023, she revealed that her aspiration wasn’t to act in films, but instead, she looked up to Kareena Kapoor Khan as her role model.

When I was just a young child, I had a dream of becoming an actress. I was utterly captivated by the allure of movies and longed to embody the role of a heroine. Just like Kareena Kapoor, I wanted to experience that magic for myself. (Riya shared.)

Actress Kick reflected, as she grew up, she found the whole thing pointless and harbored a desire to become an educator, drawn to the allure of school life. “However, I’m currently embracing my school experience and will see where it takes me,” she shared.

If given the chance to be part of a great film that doesn’t interfere with my studies, I would be thrilled to take on the role. However, I’m not giving this much thought at the moment.

Simultaneously, in a different interview, Riya Vij shared her fondness for Ranbir Kapoor. She revealed that she genuinely admires him and harbors a major crush on him. Furthermore, she expressed her hope to collaborate with him in the future.
