16Arlington Brings "The Heat" for SS25

As a gamer who’s had his fair share of challenges and triumphs, I can truly appreciate Marco Capaldo’s journey with 16Arlington. His SS25 collection, “The Heat,” was like a breath of fresh air after a long, dark night. The vibrant sunset hues and the mystical runway transported me to a carefree, wild summer escape.

I’ve certainly come to appreciate the depth and resilience of Marco Capaldo’s creativity. Over the past few years, his brand, 16Arlington, has mirrored his journey through various highs and lows, a poignant tribute to the loss of his partner, Federica Cavenati, in 2021. Despite this profound grief, Capaldo has persisted, immersing himself in a more somber aesthetic. But as we approached Spring/Summer 2025 during London Fashion Week’s third day, he emerged from the shadows, illuminating the runway with his unique vision.

Capaldo exclaims, “All of a sudden, I seemed to be standing with the sun before me,” as he unveils 16Arlington’s airy and light design for SS25, named “The Heat.” This women’s collection exudes youthful energy, untamed freedom, and a sense of liberation in warm, sunset tones. The ambiance was palpable within London’s Royal Academy, filled with the aroma of Diptyque candles featuring mimosa and blooming floral scents. The ethereal runway danced with movement, sprinkled with biodegradable confetti that rose gently with each stride.

The assortment initially featured bright, illuminating yellows, along with light trench coats, flowing pencil skirts, and mid-length dresses with defined belts and contrasting collars. Leather motorcycle suits unveiled metal-plated bras underneath, while sheer tops and suede pants contrasted fiery red snakeskin handbags, embodying an animalistic vibe. This season, 16Arlington exuded warmth with massive fur coats coupled with mini hot pants for a seductive style. Their feathery dresses were reimagined in fringe movement, swaying on formal evening gowns. Gradient-colored feathers emerged from sheer and beaded bottoms, adorning sequined outfits brimming with allure.
