On September 9th, the game 2XKO is starting a new beta phase which will remain active unless there’s necessary maintenance before its upcoming full release. In this beta, players can expect to meet the newest addition to the roster: the Champion named Vi.
On July 22nd, as confirmed by Riot Games, fans of 2XKO have the opportunity to register for this upcoming Closed Beta on PC. Should luck be on your side, you’ll gain access on September 9th; however, don’t worry if you miss out initially, as more players will be granted access during the closed beta period. The beta is scheduled to launch globally. If you’ve previously accessed the game through Alpha Labs, you are guaranteed early access.
It’s worth noting that along with the reveal, Riot also introduced a fresh Champion named Vi. This selection might seem quite predictable or even lackluster to some. Interestingly, this Champion has made appearances in various media platforms beyond League of Legends, and is one of the primary characters in the Arcane Netflix series.
2XKO, which currently boasts characters like Ekko and Jinx, found it quite intuitive to incorporate Vi, given her playstyle is adaptable to the dynamics typically seen in fighting games.
Unfortunately, console users won’t get to experience the closed beta phase on either Xbox or PlayStation 5. But fear not! If you choose to play the game on a PC, you’ll have the advantage of cross-progression, allowing you to transfer all your accumulated progress to your preferred platform when the game goes live. By the way, the official release date is fast approaching.
When Is 2XKO Coming Out?
Unfortunately, there isn’t a confirmed launch date for the game 2XKO yet. While it’s anticipated that it will reach version 1.0 later in 2025, possibly towards its end, we don’t have an exact date until Riot Games officially announces one. Given that Arc System Works’ Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is approaching, a game that also falls under the fighting genre and appeals to tag fighter enthusiasts like 2XKO does, it’s clear that Riot Games wants to release 2XKO to a wide audience as soon as possible.
