As a seasoned gamer and marathon runner, I can tell you that taking on the challenge of extreme heat during a race is no small feat. The physical demands of pushing your body to cover several miles while maintaining focus and motivation are already significant. But when the weather turns against you with scorching temperatures, it becomes an entirely different ball game.
Running a marathon is no breeze. The strain on your body to go the distance, combined with keeping your mind and spirit motivated, presents a formidable challenge for anyone. Yet, weather conditions can make it even more daunting, be it scorching heat, freezing cold, pouring rain, or other extreme elements. However, two companies, 2XU and District Vision, have teamed up to address the issue of intense heat with their latest collaboration.
A collaboration between 2XU and District Vision gave birth to their latest collection, drawn from the challenging 135-mile Badwater marathon course stretching from Death Valley, the hottest spot on Earth, to Mt. Whitney. To tackle the intense heat during this epic race, these two brands have joined forces, producing a nine-piece series. This assemblage consists of a desert anorak with hood, compression shorts, calf guards, arm guards, 5-inch shorts, a T-shirt, 3/4 compression leggings, a singlet, sunglasses, and a hat.
The special features that prepare the pieces for heat resistance include qualities such as UV protection, breathable mesh material, temperature control abilities, and the sunglasses’ unique rimless design made of titanium.
Check out the collection displayed in the gallery above. Prices range from $69.99 to $649.99 for the latest 2XU and District Vision collaboration, which is now open for online pre-orders.
