3 Arts Entertainment Expands Into News With Acquisition of OManagement (Exclusive)

The management and production firm 3 Arts Entertainment is getting into the news business.

As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “I’m excited to announce that I’ve just joined forces with OManagement, the talent management powerhouse founded by industry veterans Olivia Metzger from CAA and NBC. In this new role, I’ll be partnering up and co-heading 3 Arts’ New York office, ready to take on new challenges!

Management excels at collaborating with news presenters, journalists, and individuals whose personalities capture attention, boasting a roster of clients such as Today’s anchor Craig Melvin, the moderator of Meet the Press, Kristen Welker, Fox News host Harris Faulkner, and NBC News commentator Steve Kornacki, to name a few.

The introduction of OManagement occurs in a time of change for news, journalism, and opinion-based programming and content. The rise of Substack, newsletters, audio and video podcasts, among other platforms, gives both journalists and opinionated hosts an unprecedented array of choices when deciding where to work, despite the ongoing reduction in traditional TV channels.

3 Arts, typically known for talent management and TV production under Lionsgate’s control, has made a significant shift into the news industry with this acquisition. Historically, they have represented notable figures such as Tina Fey and Mike Judge, and produced hit shows like The Office, Four Seasons, and King of the Hill.

Earlier this week, the company took a substantial step in sports and talent management by purchasing A&A Management, an Ohio-based agency which currently manages NFL player Travis Kelce, NBA prospect Jonathan Kuminga, and other notable sports figures.

3Arts can utilize their extensive network and production skills to guide OManagement’s new talents, as they consider opportunities outside traditional media organizations.

3 Arts Entertainment’s co-CEOs, Brian Weinstein and Michael Rotenberg, acknowledged that today, news talent and media figures are more valuable than ever before. They explained that with viewers increasingly looking for reliable individual voices, their partnership with OManagement enables them to bolster journalists, news professionals, and personalities as they grow their brands and adapt to innovative ways of interacting with the public. OManagement boasts exceptional ties with media companies and on-air talent, and by bringing Olivia on board as a key figure and partner, 3 Arts Entertainment’s New York City team will be better equipped to assist cultural trendsetters and personalities in producing meaningful content.

The news industry is changing, but the importance of providing careful, strategic assistance to storytellers and professionals stays consistent,” Metzger stated. “By collaborating with 3 Arts, we can present our clients with more varied options in a fast-paced media world, all while maintaining the personalized care that has been a hallmark of both OManagement and 3 Arts. By merging our extensive knowledge in talent representation and development with 3 Arts’ expertise in production and media planning, we are forming a robust partnership specifically designed to assist storytellers and professionals at every stage of their careers.
