9-1-1 fans are still grieving over the departure of Peter Krause’s character Bobby Nash, and they must brace themselves for the upcoming season without him. The ABC drama is set to return for Season 9 in October as per the 2025 TV schedule, leaving a void with Krause’s absence. Although it’s disheartening, there are still exciting moments ahead, as Oliver Stark shared a charming behind-the-scenes photo to mark the start of filming.
Filming has officially commenced on Season 9 of 9-1-1, and despite being down one very important member, it is still exciting to know that the 118 will soon be coming back. Filming starting also means more irresistible behind-the-scenes content to keep fans occupied. Stark kicked that off with a sweet photo taken outside of his trailer that he shared on his Instagram. And it didn’t just include him; he had a furry friend with him, too:

Previously, Stark has shared stories about his canines, yet witnessing them accompany him on set adds an extra touch of charm. Moreover, a sign indicating a dog within his trailer suggests this may be a frequent event. If only Buck had a pet too, but having Stark bring his own dogs to the set is still quite delightful. Furthermore, this picture might serve as an ideal start for the approaching season.
In addition to pondering if Season 9 might see Buck acquiring a canine companion, there’s also uncertainty about who will succeed Bobby as the captain of the 118 team. Given Bobby’s stature, it’s no simple task to find his replacement, and Hen has already declined the position. Whether Chimney is prepared for the role remains uncertain. If not Hen or Chimney, the other main characters who seem qualified are Buck and Eddie, but they lack the necessary experience compared to Hen and Chim. This could potentially lead to choosing a secondary character from the 118 or an external candidate. With Gerrard working on Hotshots, it’s hard to predict who will step up next.
