90 Day Fiancé's Chidi Attempted To Clarify Rayne Issues, But Mentioning 'Vampires And Cannibals' Didn't Exactly Help

As a long-time fan of reality TV shows, I’ve seen my fair share of strange, shocking, and downright bizarre storylines. However, this season’s 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days has taken the cake with Chidi and Rayne’s tale. It’s like watching a trainwreck in slow motion – you can’t look away, but you really wish you could!

❗️Caution! The ensuing details might unveil plot twists regarding Chidi and Rayne from the seventh season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days. To watch this season, you’ll need a Max subscription, and proceed at your own spoiler-alert!

At the outset of this season, I expressed my excitement about watching Chidi and Rayne’s tale unfold on 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days. Initially, I was eager for a plot revolving around someone who holds beliefs in extraterrestrials and the Illuminati. However, following the recent developments from Nigeria, I find myself wishing I hadn’t. Lately, Chidi has justified his choice to sleep apart from her, and I initially agreed. But when he started discussing vampires and cannibals, I began to question my initial enthusiasm.

Chidi On His Celibacy

In a since-deleted post that was picked up by 90 Day blogger @MerryPants, Chidi clarified some details on his celibacy storyline that he felt the show misrepresented. While explaining that, he threw in some alleged details that the camera didn’t show, including a hint that she was aware of this before she ever set foot in Nigeria:

The main point here is that we’ve chosen abstinence and separate sleeping arrangements until marriage, a decision I’ve already discussed with Rayne prior to her trip to Nigeria. Upon learning about it, Rayne became extremely upset, initially considering cancelling her visit but later reconsidering.

It’s intriguing to learn this, although it doesn’t come as a complete shock. Various participants from the show 90 Day Fiancé have claimed over time that certain aspects of their narratives were scripted for dramatic effect. In other words, Chidi suggests that Rayne was aware she wouldn’t be romantically involved with him, which could mean she was uncertain about his sincerity or thought she might change his mind. However, this is just my speculation.

Rayne’s Thoughts On Vampires, Cannibals, And Talking To The Dead

Even though Chidi had already made all his doubts clear as day regarding inviting Rayne into his bedroom, he continued and shared an additional reason for his uncertainty. Interestingly enough, this concern was rooted in her faith in the supernatural. If what she believes is accurate, then it’s understandable that he might feel cautious about the situation.

In pondering over this challenging choice, beyond my religious beliefs, I found myself troubled by some peculiar, unsettling, and otherworldly aspects that Rayne brought up during our conversations. On one particular occasion, she inquired if I was willing to be sacrificed and if I could endure being in the same room with her when vampires and cannibals would convene for their banquet. She claimed to converse with the deceased and even asserted that she had encountered and conversed with my departed father. She boasted of possessing dark powers and warned of summoning malevolent forces from across the globe against me and my loved ones if her demands weren’t met. She also hinted at having a power that influences any man who is intimate with her.

In this show “90 Day Fiancé: Love In Paradise,” I assumed the man who persisted in sperm donation was the most obvious warning sign. However, after reading your post, it seems clear why Chidi might have been cautious about getting intimate with Rayne, beyond his religious vows of celibacy.

Simultaneously, I find myself questioning Chidi’s decision to invite Rayne over to Nigeria, let alone stay at his sister’s place, given her tales of cannibals and vampires feasting on them while they were in bed together. His explanation, though it offers an answer, doesn’t quite convince me it was a sound choice, but it is rationale nonetheless:

Although I cherished spending time with Rayne and considered the idea of sharing a room, I opted for separate beds to ensure I could closely monitor her and verify if her unsettling stories were true or false. To clarify, my choice wasn’t a rejection or neglect, but rather a cautious approach aimed at ensuring our safety until I fully grasped her situation. Before Rayne arrived, I made sure to explain my reasoning clearly to her.

I previously mentioned that the post has been taken down from his Instagram account, making it unavailable now. To me, this situation seems somewhat akin to when Brittany Banks publicly accused her fiancé Yazan of alcohol consumption and infidelity. It’s intriguing to speculate as to why the post might have been removed. Could it be that they requested its removal, perhaps because TLC suggested it, fearing that it could potentially spoil their storyline and hint at a breakup?

I love these two.

We don’t know for certain, though another 90-Day Fiancé blogger, Shabooty, posted content from Rayne that suggested they split up. Additionally, I would say that Chidi’s deleted comments sound like he’s speaking about them as a couple in the past tense, and I don’t think he would’ve aired all that to the public if they were still together. I’ve been surprised before, though, so we’ll just have to wait and see how things shake out for these two.

90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days is set to air on TLC every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET. Don’t forget to look ahead to our 2024 schedule to discover other exciting shows in the pipeline, and get ready for another season of turmoil featuring Chidi and Rayne!
