Adidas, STEPN to release joint NFT collection

The STEPN project team announced a strategic partnership with the sportswear manufacturer Adidas.

Adidas and blockchain platform Stepn have revealed plans for a groundbreaking NFT collaboration aimed at transforming move-to-earn apps and establishing the Find Satoshi Lab (FSL) ecosystem on a global scale. In line with this partnership, Stepn will introduce a collection of 1000 exclusive STEPN x Adidas Genesis NFTs into the market.

Based on the news, the NFT collection is set to debut on MOOAR marketplace on April 17. As stated in Forbes, STEPN CEO Shiti Manghani mentioned that this partnership will span through both brands’ applications. Specifically, there will be a collaborative effort to encourage and reward users for exercising.

The token representing the project naively named GMT showed subdued expansion following the announcement of a collaboration with Adidas. Currently, it was priced at around $0.26 on CoinMarketCap, demonstrating an increase. Nevertheless, despite this recent surge, GMT is still 93% below its peak price in April 2022, where it reached a high of $4.11.

In the past, the STEPN team shared news about distributing FSL points through an airdrop. The quantity of points allotted will depend on how long participants have owned their digital Genesis sneakers. There are three tiers: those who have possessed sneakers for over 24 months get the highest number of points, the middle tier consists of individuals owning sneakers between 12-24 months, and the last group includes those with sneakers for 6-12 months.
