The discussion kicked off with Boring emphasizing the immense possibilities of cryptocurrencies during economic instability. She expressed, “As pioneers, it’s exciting to create something new and valuable while adhering to the law. And let’s delve deeper into the regulatory landscape for cryptocurrencies and its effects on international finance.”

Teng gave a thorough examination of how the regulatory rules surrounding stablecoins have been changing. He noted, “Stablecoins serve as a significant entry point into cryptocurrencies. This trend is clear in Europe, including the UK. There’s been plenty of talk and various debates about similar issues in other countries like the US.”

Matthew Roszak, as co-founder and chairman of Bloq, brought up some thought-provoking points during the discussion. He pondered over the future implications of stablecoins on conventional banking and remarked, “In a way, it’s an advantage to be able to handle such tasks. However, I find it intriguing that the top ten holders of stablecoins primarily invest in US bonds.”

Roszak went on to ponder over the potential development of future stablecoins. These may not be reliant on conventional financial structures for maintaining stability, instead relying on complex algorithms or various assets.

Teng spoke up about the ongoing situation regarding Binance executive Tigran Gambarayan being held in detention by the Nigerian government. He shared that Binance is collaborating closely with Nigerian authorities to find a solution. Moreover, Teng mentioned that Gambarayan has been dedicated to working alongside international law enforcement agencies to combat financial crimes.
