A notepad with the words “Buy Bitcoin” written on it, which gained global interest during a 2017 Congressional hearing when it was briefly displayed behind Janet Yellen (formerly the Chair of the US Federal Reserve), has been sold for an astonishing amount of 16 Bitcoins. With each Bitcoin currently valued around $64,283, this sale translates to over $1 million.
In a seven-day auction on Scarce City, the historic notepad was sold to “Justin,” also called “Squirrekkywrath.” The bidding concluded around 11:00 pm UTC on April 24, generating significant attention throughout the process.

Back in July 2017, Christian Langalis boldly seized the limelight at a live House Financial Services Committee hearing. In an instant, he displayed a hidden sign behind Janet Yellen, who was then the Federal Reserve Chair. Unfortunately for Langalis, this action was not permitted during the proceedings and resulted in his immediate removal from the venue.
Langalis’ daring decision unexpectedly brought him substantial gains. Shortly following the unveiling of his sign, Bitcoin’s price experienced a sudden surge of 3.7%, reaching an astounding $2,418. Looking back a few years later, Langalis is now reaping significant rewards from this savvy investment.
Due to a savvy financial decision, Langalis stands to gain approximately $875,000, equivalent to 13.6 Bitcoins, through the utilization of a unique marketplace named Scarce City. This innovative platform facilitates the buying and selling of rare Bitcoin assets.
Langalis expressed his joy in a post accompanying his sale, as he was now ready to put his long-hidden Bitcoins on the market for the Bitcoin community to access.
