Changpeng “CZ” Zhao Hints at Writing Own Book

As a long-time crypto investor with a deep interest in the industry’s inner workings, I find Zhao’s potential book announcement intriguing. The news of his impending jail time and plans for a memoir brings to mind Michael Lewis’ “Going Infinite,” which provided a captivating account of Sam Bankman-Fried’s rise and fall in the crypto space.

CZ, the ex-leader of Binance once mentioned, might pen down a book revealing extensive information during his imprisonment.

Zhao, who stepped down as Binance’s CEO in November 2023 following money laundering allegations, hinted at a possible book on social media X. “I have some ‘silent hours’ approaching. I plan to utilize this time to pen something down,” he posted.

I got some “quiet time” coming up. Will use that to write something.— CZ 🔶 BNB (@cz_binance) May 12, 2024

The memoir I’m proposing would share similarities with Michael Lewis’s book “Going Infinite,” which chronicled the meteoric rise and fall of Sam Bankman-Fred, the founder of the defunct cryptocurrency exchange FTX. Currently, Bankman-Fred is incarcerated for a twenty-five year sentence due to fraud charges.

As a crypto investor, I’ve followed Zhao’s insights closely, and I remember him mentioning his intentions for an educational initiative called “Giggle Academy.” This program is designed to instruct underprivileged children about essential topics such as finance, blockchain technology, and more.

Should Zhao choose to pen a book, it would provide an exclusive perspective on the cryptocurrency scandals that led him to serve time in prison as a billionaire inmate. For those captivated by the crypto world’s intrigues, this could be a unique opportunity to gain insights from a disgraced former industry heavyweight.
