Supra to present Moonshot consensus mechanism at DSN 2024

As a seasoned crypto investor with a keen interest in blockchain technology, I’m always on the lookout for promising projects that can deliver impressive results. Supra has been on my radar for quite some time now due to its innovative solutions and impressive capabilities.

At the upcoming DSN 2024 Conference, Supra, a comprehensive Layer-1 blockchain platform supplying oracle data and randomness to over 80 other blockchains through its offerings, will introduce its innovative Moonshot consensus mechanism.

Based on information from crypto.news’s press release, Supra’s team is set to unveil the Moonshot whitepaper during a presentation. This document outlines the unique consensus mechanism of Moonshot and positions it as a trailblazer within the blockchain sector. The presentation will also involve a comparison between Moonshot and Jolteon, a well-respected decentralized consensus algorithm recognized for its impressive performance.

In November 2023, Microsoft’s Ivy Verifier will officially confirm the security of Moonshot. Its algorithmic structure was engineered to obstruct fork occurrences under the condition that no more than one-third of its network comprises malicious validators.

In the realm of blockchain technology, Supra has made a notable name for itself through its innovative Distributed Oracle Agreement (DORA). This solution bridges the gap between real-world information and blockchain systems by integrating authentic data. By addressing issues related to Byzantine faults and ensuring data integrity, Supra significantly enhances the capabilities of blockchain networks. Particularly relevant for smart contracts in the decentralized Web3 ecosystem.

Byzantine fault tolerance refers to a system’s capacity to function effectively despite the presence and potential failure of one or more of its constituent components.

Moonshot processes an astounding 530,000 transactions every second, distributed among its 125 nodes located around the world. This mechanism also demonstrates a swift optimistic finality within half a second and achieves complete block finality within 1.5 to 2 seconds. Its impressive performance surpasses that of numerous other consensus mechanisms currently available in the market.

As a crypto investor eagerly anticipating the latest industry developments, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll be attending the DSN 2024 conference taking place at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, from the 24th to the 27th of June. This is an excellent opportunity for me to expand my knowledge, network with like-minded individuals, and stay updated on the latest trends and innovations within the digital currency sphere. Can’t wait to see you all there!

About supra

As a crypto investor, I’m excited about Supra because it offers a complete solution for blockchain development. It seamlessly integrates oracles, bridges, automation, and randomness into a strong Layer-1 with MultiVM compatibility. This translates to a solid base for creating and launching decentralized applications that can support multiple virtual machines, giving developers the flexibility and scalability they need.

This platform not only empowers developers to build sophisticated decentralized applications (dApps), but also supplies oracle price data and trustworthy randomness functionality, all secured at the base layer, for various blockchain networks.

As a data analysis expert, I’m excited to share that Supra has recently unveiled its new innovation: the DAG-based protocol named Sailfish. My role as an analyst leads me to explain that Sailfish is designed to boost latency performance. In collaboration with the Moonshot consensus algorithm, it is anticipated that we will witness substantial improvements in performance.
