As a dedicated gamer and avid fan of television, I’m beyond excited about the latest addition to the star-studded cast of “The Agency” on Paramount+ with Showtime. Jodie Turner-Smith joining Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, and Richard Gere is an absolute game-changer for this already intriguing series!

The Paramount+ With Showtime drama The Agency continues to build out an A-list cast.

Jodie Turner-Smith joins the talented cast, comprised of Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, and Richard Gere, in “The Agency.” In this story, Fassbender portrays Martian, a CIA agent who must abruptly leave his undercover mission and return to the agency’s headquarters in London.

Turner-Smith, known for her roles in “Queen & Slim” and “The Acolyte,” is cast as Sami Zahir – a sociocultural anthropology professor with a past connection to Martian.

“Jodie Turner-Smith has the ability to mesmerize viewers with her intense, heartfelt performances,” noted Nina L. Diaz, president of content and chief creative officer at Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios & Paramount Media Networks. “We’re delighted she’ll be part of our exceptional ensemble.”

As an avid fan, I’m thrilled to share that “The Agency,” inspired by the renowned French drama “Le Bureau des Legendes,” secured a straight-to-series deal at Showtime back in February 2023. Little did we know, before the premium cable network became part of Paramount+ streaming platform, this gripping series was already on its way!

I’m part of a team with the Butterworths and Wright, George Clooney, and Grant Heslov from Smokehouse Pictures, Diaz and Keith Cox from Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari from 101 Studios, Alex Berger from TOP-The Originals Productions, and Ashley Stern and Pascal Breton from Federation Studios/Federation Entertainment of America, producing this game together.
