Elizabeth Bay Productions Gets Financing, WestEnd Films First-Look Deal

As a dedicated film enthusiast and follower of the industry, I am thrilled to witness the latest developments at Elizabeth Bay Productions (EBP). With a principal like DDA founder Dennis Davidson and an esteemed team including executive producer Grant Hill, EBP’s new partnership with FilmHedge and first-look deal with WestEnd Films mark an exciting milestone in their journey.

Elizabeth Bay Productions (EBP), led by Dennis Davidson, founder of public relations firm DDA, and featuring Grant Hill as executive producer/producer, renowned for his work with Terrence Malick and the Wachowskis on “The Matrix” films, has secured financing from FilmHedge and signed a first-look deal with WestEnd Films based in the UK.

EBP has formed a new financing alliance with FilmHedge in Atlanta. This collaboration will fund the production house’s film and television lineup. Among EBP’s upcoming projects is “The Dimona Affair,” a fact-based whistleblower tale penned by Fred Schepisi, who will also direct. The film stars Jeff Wilbusch as the male lead and has Schepisi, Simon Moseley, Davidson, and Wilbusch producing together.

FilmHedge’s COO, Chandler Heinz Laun, will be in charge of managing the relationship between FilmHedge and EBP. He will have the authority to oversee the creative packaging and financial plans for each project. Previously, Laun worked in the independent film financing and distribution sector at ICM Partners before joining FilmHedge.

As a gamer, I’ve been teaming up with EBP and WestEnd to bring some exciting new projects to life. With our latest collaboration, we’ve secured a first-look deal that benefits us both in unique ways. For me, EBP, this partnership opens up international distribution channels and provides additional financing opportunities for my projects. On the other hand, WestEnd gains access to my team’s development and production expertise as they expand their horizons into producing. Together, we’re creating an unbeatable game plan!

Apart from Davidson and Hill, who have worked on films like “The Thin Red Line,” “Matrix 2, 3 & 4,” “Cloud Atlas,” and “Tree of Life,” the management team at EBP also consists of two executives based in Los Angeles. These are Eugin Koh, in charge of business development, and Clayton Heinz, who handles strategy and operations.

With the help of esteemed producer Grant Hill over the last three years, we’ve amassed an impressive collection of films and TV projects. Our search for a financially sound production companion who aligned with our vision to produce top-notch film and television content led us to FilmHedge.

I’m part of the FilmHedge community, and I’m excited that our leader and CEO, Jon Gosier, spearheads this innovative platform offering debt financing for film and TV productions.

Maya Amsellem, founder of WestEnd, commented: “Dennis’s extensive industry background in nurturing talent is instrumental in curating his project lineup. His discerning eye and new collaboration with FilmHedge promise to deliver high-caliber and ambitious productions.”
