As a seasoned crypto investor with a keen interest in decentralized technologies and SaaS companies, I’ve been closely monitoring Aethir’s progression for quite some time now. Having witnessed the explosive growth of GPU-as-a-service market and its potential impact on various industries like AI and gaming, I’ve been impressed with how Aethir has managed to capture a substantial portion of this growing demand, generating an impressive annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $36 million.
Last year, the decentralized cloud infrastructure platform, Aethir, generated an impressive $36 million in annual recurring revenue.
As a crypto investor, I would explain it this way: Unlike the overall income from various sources, annual recurring revenue (ARR) specifically represents the consistent subscription-based income for Software as a Service (SaaS) companies. For instance, DePin, which is on the brink of launching its product mainnet deployment, plans to transform its ARR into its native utility token called ATH.
Aethir growth amid spike in GPU-as-a-service market
On Taylor’s blog update on the 3rd, the Aethir collective highlighted the surging popularity of their decentralized cloud solution for AI and gaming applications. The team announced a substantial revenue figure of $36 million generated from their offerings.
Revealing the Core Business and Annual Revenue of Aethir: Since its founding, Aethir has distinguished itself by developing enterprise-level innovations via its Decentralized GPU Infrastructure. Through this forward-thinking business strategy, we have amassed approximately USD $36 million in revenue.

The startup is aiming for greater growth as interest increases, with potential industries to tap having a combined total market size exceeding $30 billion. This objective keeps the Aethir team dedicated to executing on the platform’s offerings, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) customers in search of virtualized GPU instances.
In addition, there’s a Platform as a Service (PaaS) alternative, which comes equipped with a collection of tools and services specifically tailored for GPU-powered applications. On the other hand, the Bare Metal solution caters to clients requiring unrivaled control over dedicated GPU hardware, making it an excellent choice for resource-intensive jobs like large-scale simulations.
Aethir milestones
On June 12, my analysis reveals that Aethir’s network became operational on the Ethereum blockchain, marking the culmination of a rigorous testnet phase involving approximately half a million users. Notably, the node sale for this startup garnered significant backing from industry giants like Nvidia, HPE, and Foxconn.
During this time, Aethir’s team has formed alliances with Xsolla, Magic Eden, and TensorOpera. The latter is an advanced AI platform that utilized Aethir’s dispersed GPU capability to develop a massive 750-million parameter AI model within thirty days.
On the Layer-2 network Arbitrum running on Aethir, the native token ATH serves multiple purposes. It can be employed for staking on Ethereum and is also acceptable for transactions and network incentives. The total circulation of ATH amounts to 42 billion tokens. Approximately $0.0824 was its value around Tuesday morning.
