Porsche Expands Its All-Electric Macan Lineup with Two New Models

As a dedicated Porsche enthusiast with years of experience under my belt, I am thrilled to see the expansion of the all-electric Macan lineup by the iconic German automaker. The recent introduction of the rear-wheel-drive Macan and high-performance Macan 4S models offers a perfect blend of choice and innovation for customers in the electric vehicle market.

Porsche has added two new all-electric versions to its Macan SUV lineup, bringing the total number of models in this series to four. The Macan with rear-wheel drive and the high-performance Macan 4S are the latest additions, catering to customers seeking diverse options in the growing electric vehicle market.

As a Macan fan, I’m thrilled about the new entry-level model with rear-wheel drive. This sleek ride puts an emphasis on efficiency and long-distance travel. Under its hood, you’ll find a 100 kWh high-voltage battery and a powerful rear-axle motor capable of delivering 250 kW (340 hp). The best part? With up to 400 miles in combined WLTP range, this baby is perfect for those who prioritize longer road trips. And with a lightweight design that sheds an impressive 240 pounds compared to the Macan 4, it’s not just efficient but also nimble. Plus, its impressive 415 lb-ft of torque ensures a swift 0-60 mph sprint in just 5.7 seconds!

Simultaneously, the Macan 4S serves as an intermediate model between the Macan 4 and Macan Turbo. Featuring Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) and a potent 600-amp SiC pulse inverter, it generates a system output of 330 kW (448 hp), with an additional overboost power of 380 kW (516 hp). The Macan 4S sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and has a restricted top speed of 150 mph, offering a combined WLTP range of approximately 370 miles. As standard equipment, it comes equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), adaptive air suspension, and rear-axle steering, which optimize both driving dynamics and ride comfort.

The new models are now open for ordering and customization through the US market and certain other areas. For detailed information, please visit Porsche’s official website.
