As a dedicated gamer and fashion enthusiast, I’m always thrilled to see the intersection of these two worlds. Prada’s latest campaign has piqued my interest with its unique concept of “the exchange of ideas” and “conversing.” The casting of Harris Dickinson, Damson Idris, Yili Ma, Hunter Schafer, and Letitia Wright as the faces of this campaign is a bold move that immediately captures my attention.
Prada is ready to start the conversation.
A high-end house brand has selected Harris Dickinson, Damson Idris, Yili Ma, Hunter Schafer, and Letitia Wright for its new fall/winter advertising campaign for both women’s and men’s lines. The theme revolves around the idea of engaging in conversation and sharing thoughts.
As a huge fan of Prada’s stunning campaigns, I can’t help but feel excited when I hear that Willy Vanderperre is behind the lens for this latest photoshoot. With all the actors being Prada ambassadors, the anticipation builds as they engage with each other, both in person and over the phone. The scripts for these interactions are masterfully crafted by Miranda July, a filmmaker and artist known for her thought-provoking work on human connections. Her films like “Me and You and Everyone We Know,” “The Future,” and “Kajillionaire” have left lasting impressions on me, making this collaboration even more intriguing.
With Ferdinando Verderi overseeing the creative aspect, the campaign features both still images and short movies helmed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Garrett Bradley (known for “Time” documentary). July contributes to the project not only by penning the script but also lends her voice in certain parts through telephone conversations. These interactions at times remain intriguingly elusive, according to Prada, enabling viewers to fill in the gaps with their own interpretations.
Idris is depicted with black pants and a sweater, both in black with a white belt, holding a mint green phone to his ear in an image. Across from him, Dickinson is shown wearing a long coat and tie, carrying a black Prada backpack, and speaking into a beige telephone. In another set of pictures, the actresses are seen engaging in separate conversations while dressed in fall and winter clothing.
I’ve recently played some intriguing roles in games like “The Iron Claw” and “A Murder at the End of the World.” Schafer, a newcomer from the hit game “Euphoria,” joined me in Yorgos Lanthimos’s latest production, “Kinds of Kindness.” Idris Elba, renowned for his work on “Snowfall,” is set to star alongside Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon, and Javier Bardem in the upcoming game “F1.” Chinese actress Yili Ma has made a name for herself with notable performances in “Blossoms Shanghai,” “To the Wonder,” “B for Busy,” “The First Half of My Life,” “Lost, Found,” and “Struggle.”
