The Elder Scrolls 6 setting possibly leaked by Bethesda employee

As a long-time Elder Scrolls fan, I can hardly contain my excitement for The Elder Scrolls 6 (TES6), the highly anticipated sequel to Skyrim that has been in development for six long years. While Grand Theft Auto 6 may currently hold the title of most-anticipated video game, TES6 is sure to take its place once it’s released in 2025.

Regarding the highly anticipated video game of the moment, Grand Theft Auto 6 holds the top spot as of now. However, when it drops in 2025, The Elder Scrolls 6 from Bethesda is expected to claim the throne. It’s been thirteen years since Skyrim first came out, and despite Bethesda’s continuous efforts to update it, a new installment is on the horizon.

Despite whispers of its existence preceding the announcement, Todd Howard formally unveiled The Elder Scrolls 6 at E3 2018, sparking a frenzy online. However, six years on, with only occasional updates to keep us hopeful, it still seems an elusive prospect to play the game ourselves.

In the case of The Elder Scrolls 6, like other games in this series, an exciting discovery lies in its location. Given that Skyrim was set in its eponymous mountainous area, it seems likely that TES6 may choose a new setting cherished by longtime fans of the game.

A Reddit user named r/nitsuaztnarf posted pictures, believed to be from a hidden Pinterest account of an unidentified Bethesda employee. This account reportedly contained references to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune films and was later locked down, fueling speculation about its significance.

As a huge fan of Dune, I can’t help but notice the intriguing collection of pins on display. While some may simply be expressing their affection for this sci-fi classic, I’ve noticed a common desert theme among them. This got me thinking – could Arrakis be the inspiration behind these pins?

Previously mentioned as a potential location for The Elder Scrolls 6, Hammerfell is an intriguing choice given its proximity to Skyrim in the west. This region is where the Redguard people call home and is well-known from The Elder Scrolls Online. Our excitement grows as we look forward to delving deeper into the Alik’r Desert, which might become a reality soon.

One fan expressed excitement for the possibility of Hammerfell in The Elder Scrolls 6, exclaiming, “I really hope so. Hammerfell would be amazing!” Another fan made a prediction, saying, “I’m putting it out there, Hammerfell will have an Australian feel with a Great Barrier Reef and a beautiful Somali beach style.”

Just like the anticipated news that GTA 6 could be returning to Vice City, there’s been so much buzz about Hammerfell that it seems unlikely The Elder Scrolls 6 won’t be set in this location. With Bethesda focusing on Starfield and progressing with TES6 production, don’t count on a trailer being released anytime soon.
