It wasn’t until 2023 that I felt the urge to return to the big screen and appeared in the horror film “The Forest Hills.”

Despite being asked not to, he persisted in contacting my mother, attempting to persuade her to allow our communication to be reinstated.
Return to the Big Screen & Sudden Passing
Shelley Duvall, who had been away from acting for 21 years, surprised everyone with her compelling appearance in the 2023 independent horror thriller “The Forest Hills.” Originally planning just a cameo role, she ended up joining the cast due to her eagerness for more screen time. Duvall expressed her delight about her return to acting as “such an enjoyable experience” and even joked about winning an Oscar at the ripe age of 80. Tragically, this dream could not be realized as Duvall passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 75 due to complications from diabetes.
