As a long-time Call of Duty fan and someone who’s been following the series since its early Modern Warfare days, I must admit that I’m both intrigued and skeptical about the rumored The Crow crossover in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Season 5.
As a dedicated gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen and played it all – from the early days of pixelated graphics to the current era of high-definition, immersive experiences. And let me tell you, the gaming world is more exciting than ever before!
In Season 5, we may not only face off against Cody Rhodes, Rey Mysterio, and Rhea Ripley. An additional crossover is potentially hinted at further on. Though some fans are disappointed that the rumored Deadpool and Wolverine collaboration didn’t materialize, another significant movie tie-in could emerge instead.
Call of Duty fans think The Crow is coming in Season 5
As a longtime fan of both “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” and “The Crow,” I’m thrilled to my core by this latest announcement! Having grown up playing the former game series and being an avid reader of the “The Crow” comics, I can hardly contain my excitement. The idea of a crossover between these two beloved franchises is nothing short of a dream come true for me. I’ve always imagined what it would be like if the gritty, supernatural world of The Crow collided with the intense, military-focused action of Modern Warfare 3. And now, it seems that my wildest fantasies are about to become a reality! I can hardly wait to see how this in-season crossover unfolds and how these two distinct universes intertwine. Bring it on!

Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 revealed upcoming features and their release dates. However, intriguing rumors have emerged about a secret collaboration, hinted at somewhere within the season. Though details are scant, this enigmatic figure appears to be a male dressed in a trench coat.
As a huge fan of the original “The Crow” movie from 1994, I can’t help but notice the striking resemblance between the recently revealed silhouette of the upcoming reboot and Bill Skarsgård’s portrayal of Eric Draven/The Crow. Having grown up with Brandon Lee’s iconic performance etched in my memory, I’m both excited and a bit apprehensive about this new adaptation.
Back in May, dataminers discovered mentions of “The Crow.” Given that “Fallout” had previously been the subject of a crossover, it’s not difficult to infer a connection. The release date for “The Crow” in cinemas on August 23 further aligns with this theory, making the timing fitting as well.
In more straightforward terms: Call of Duty has been adding unlikely collaborations with franchises like Godzilla vs Kong, the NBA, and Cheech and Chong, which some critics argue is a departure from its military simulation origins. Modern Warfare 3, in particular, has faced criticism for straying too far from its authentic military theme with the addition of The Crow.
The response to The Crow trailers has been varied, so we’re not sure if a Call of Duty collaboration would change people’s minds. Additionally, since skins don’t transfer over to Black Ops 6, some are hesitant to purchase bundles unless they’re avid Warzone players.
