Wait, Is Two-Face Getting An Origin Story In Joker: Folie à Deux Along With Harley Quinn?

As a long-time gamer and avid fan of the Batman universe, I can’t help but feel excited and intrigued by the latest developments surrounding “Joker: Folie à Deux.” The new trailer has given us a glimpse into the potential origin story of Harley Quinn, but the unexpected appearance of Harvey Dent, better known as Two-Face, has left me wondering if we’ll also get to see his creation in this upcoming DC movie.

As a longtime fan of DC comics and the Batman universe, I was absolutely thrilled when I heard that a new trailer for “Joker: Folie à Deux” had been released today. The prospect of seeing more of Joaquin Phoenix’s mesmerizing portrayal of Arthur Fleck, along with the introduction of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, was enough to make me sit up and take notice.

There are rumors circulating on the internet that Harry Lawtey from Industry has been chosen to portray Harvey Dent in “Joker 2,” although this hasn’t been formally announced yet. However, it is clear that Harvey will be featured in the 2024 film, and based on the following dialogue, it appears he will serve as the district attorney prosecuting Arthur Fleck for his offenses in “Joker” (2019).

They believe Arthur Fleck to be some kind of martyr. Well, he’s not. He’s a monster.

As a fan, I can’t help but notice the similarities between this situation and a courtroom opening statement. With Harvey Dent serving as district attorney, it feels like a foregone conclusion if Arthur Fleck is implicated in any way in “Joker: Folie à Deux.” However, if we take this at face value, it raises concerns about the trial’s outcome for Harvey. His good looks may be just another casualty in this twisted tale. And let me tell you, the idea of Two-Face making an appearance alongside Joker and Harley’s relationship is enough to make anyone chuckle, but that’s just speculation on my part.

In the world of the Joker, where unexpected events often occur, it’s plausible to consider that Harvey Dent’s disfiguration could have happened differently. Typically, this incident takes place in a courtroom with crime boss Sal Maroni throwing acid. However, why not imagine that the Joker himself was responsible for melting half of Harvey’s face during his early years, long before Bruce Wayne donned the Batman cape?

In the upcoming film “Joker 2,” Arthur Fleck seems to be taking on his own defense, allowing him more freedom to move around the courtroom instead of being limited to a seat at the table or witness stand. A sneak peek from the trailer indicates that Arthur attacks the judge using his gavel; however, the dimly lit scene makes me speculate this could occur during one of the musical sequences. Keep an eye out for the scarring of Harvey Dent in reality. If this assault doesn’t prove fatal, it sets the stage for another captivating villain to stir up chaos in Gotham City.

In the upcoming movie “Joker: Folie à Deux,” which premiers on October 4, we’ll discover Harvey Dent’s fate. Catch up by streaming the first “Joker” film and other DC titles in sequence with a Max subscription.
