Fortnite fans slam ‘impossible’ Cybertruck challenge

As a long-time Fortnite player who values my solo gaming experiences, I was initially excited to embark on the latest Summer Road Trip quests in Chapter 5 Season 3. However, the realization that one of the quests required me to be in a party with someone on my friend list left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.

In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, we’re embarking on another journey once more. The Wasteland beckons us, and in an unexpected turn of events, we’ve been presented with a peculiar collaboration. Players were skeptical about the Cybertruck crossover, but now they’re fuming over the Summer Road Trip missions.

In simple terms, Chapter 5 of Season 3 has been quite an extraordinary part with various surprising elements. We’ve seen a Mad Max-like crossover without official approval, a Deadpool and Wolverine team-up, an apocalyptic Magneto, and even a Pirates of the Caribbean-style shipwreck. It seems we’re adding everything but the kitchen sink with the Cybertruck, though at this point, we’ve grown accustomed to the unexpected.

One summer adventure challenge requires you to gain experience points (XP) during a multiplayer session in Battle Royale, Reload, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, or Festival modes. With numerous options to choose from, reaching the 60,000 XP goal as a team should be achievable. However, the catch is that you must participate within a party to earn these points.

In Fortnite, some devoted fans prefer playing alone and opt for Solos instead of team games. Others are content joining random lobbies to increase their player count. However, completing quests requires being part of a party with a friend on your list.

One displeased gamer exclaimed, “These quests in the game ruined it for everyone who plays solo, and it’s frustrating because I was excitedly anticipating getting the Cybertruck. I couldn’t help but find it amusing,” while another remarked, “In all seriousness, it bothers me when this game insists on making me team up with others.”

Approximately one third of the respondents expressed their displeasure by saying, “That’s unfair. I hate it when games restrict content based on friend status.” Fortunately, a solution has been discovered using the game’s split-screen feature. For those playing on PlayStation or Xbox, follow these steps:

  1. Open Fortnite
  2. Go to the Lobby

  3. Connect a second controller

  4. Select another console account

  5. After signing in, glance at the bottom-right corner and hit the “Log In” button using the secondary controller (Triangle on PlayStation or A on Xbox).

  6. The second player appears in the lobby

  7. Split-screen will automatically start

As someone who has spent hours trying to complete a seemingly simple task only to encounter unexpected challenges, I can relate to those expressing uncertainty about a potential glitch in the Reddit thread. It feels frustrating and time-consuming to tackle just one hurdle, especially when it’s unclear if the issue is on our end or with the system itself.
