Chris Hemsworth Excited to Return for Thor 5: 'Im Always Down to Do More'

As a long-time Marvel fan and avid gamer, I’ve been following Chris Hemsworth‘s journey as Thor since his debut in 2011. The anticipation for any new Thor project is always exhilarating, and Hemsworth’s recent statements at San Diego Comic-Con have only fueled my excitement. His eagerness to reprise the role once again and the potential for a fresh direction in Thor 5 make me feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning.

Chris Hemsworth, renowned actor from Marvel, shared Thor 5 updates at San Diego Comic-Con. In an interview with Comicbook.com, he expressed eagerness to resume his role as Thor in the MCU since 2011. However, he’s currently just waiting for a call before production begins.

As a dedicated gamer immersed in the Marvel Universe, I’ve truly cherished every moment of my experience so far. Should there be more adventures to embark on, I’m genuinely thrilled at the prospect. No concrete plans have been announced yet, but I can’t help but keep my hopes high and eagerly anticipate that fateful call or announcement. After all, I’ve grown quite fond of this extraordinary universe.

During an interview with ExtraTV at Comic-Con, Hemsworth shared similar views about the possibility of Thor 5, expressing that he has thoroughly enjoyed each moment of being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. (It’s unlikely that the interviewer referred to MCU productions as “Marvel cr*p” in Hemsworth’s presence.)

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each moment of my Marvel journey and am eager for more, but we’re all in a holding pattern, anticipating updates.

As a dedicated gamer waiting anxiously for news on Thor 5, I can’t help but ponder over its possible direction. With Chris Hemsworth taking a break from the spotlight, it’s an opportune moment to speculate. Based on recent revelations, we might bid farewell to some of the comedic elements that have dominated the series.

In an interview with Happy Sad Confused, Hemsworth expressed his desire for Thor’s character development in the upcoming film. He believes that to maintain audience interest and keep himself engaged, Thor’s storyline in Thor 5 must undergo a significant shift.

In Thor: The Dark World and Ragnarok, as well as Love and Thunder, the storyline has been quite similar. To keep things fresh, I believe it’s essential to reinvent the character. With Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, I was given a rare chance to make drastic changes to Thor, which I found exciting and engaging. When a story becomes too predictable, there’s a risk of growing complacent and losing focus. If invited back for more, I would aim for a significantly different approach in terms of tone and overall concept – for my sake as much as the audience’s. (Laughs)

Chris Hemsworth is set to take on a new significant role in the popular franchise, “Transformers,” as the voice of Optimus Prime in the upcoming animated production titled “Transformers: Origins.” Directed by Josh Cooley, this film brings together an impressive cast that includes Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Laurence Fishburne, Jon Hamm, and Steve Buscemi, alongside Hemsworth. The story delves into the backstory of Optimus Prime and Megatron.

“In the groundbreaking, fully computer-animated film ‘TRANSFORMERS ONE,’ we delve into the unexplored past of Optimus Prime and Megatron: two foes as infamous as they are inseparable, who once shared an unbreakable brotherhood on Cybertron. Their friendship turned to enmity, altering Cybertron’s history irrevocably. Featuring a stellar voice cast including Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.”
