As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent on the League of Legends battlegrounds, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the latest Wild Rift updates! The introduction of Hextech ARAM is like adding a fresh coat of paint to an old favorite – it’s familiar yet invigorating. The new events in August promise a thrilling challenge with the Great Rift Challenge and the Project A: A Rift Study event, both offering tantalizing rewards that any gamer worth their salt can’t resist.
Just a few weeks have passed since the debut of Lissandra and several other champions in Wild Rift patch 5.2, but even though the news for patch 5.2a isn’t as grandiose, there are still some exciting updates to explore. The most significant change? Augments will be making their way into ARAM (All Random All Mid)! In addition, you can expect new costumes, balance adjustments, and more, just as you would with any other update.
Leading the headlines, here’s an exciting update about ARAM, a popular 5v5 game mode where Champions face off to destroy each other’s Nexus, much like the standard version. Starting August 9th, it’s getting a Hextech revamp, introducing a selection of Augments inspired by the arena game mode for you to choose from before diving into this refreshed ARAM experience!
Firstly, let’s discuss the upcoming Great Rift Challenge, a feature added in this update that rewards Hextech Rift Badges and other goodies. This challenge commences on August 1st and is followed by the Project A: Rift Study event on August 13th. In this event, you have an opportunity to compete for a spot on the leaderboard to win Poro Energies, Orange Gemstones, and other prizes.
