During the conversation, he spoke about his experiences collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan. The filmmaker disclosed that Khan has a tendency to critique the films he is currently involved in.

Nikhil revealed that while he was an associate director on Mohabbatein alongside SRK (popularly known as King Khan), SRK was simultaneously working on Hey Ram. He mentioned that SRK often attends meetings and expresses his opinion that the film being made with him is poor, suggesting they should focus on the other project instead. Nikhil recalled an instance when SRK criticized Kal Ho Naa Ho during the making of Devdas, calling it rubbish while praising Devdas as fantastic. He explained that this behavior was a regular occurrence for SRK.
