As a seasoned survivor of Tarkov’s unforgiving landscapes, I can confidently say that the Burning Rubber quest is a testament to the game’s intricate design. The thrill of scouring Ground Zero for the elusive Police Cordon V-Ex is reminiscent of those long hours spent hunting for loot in the real world – only to find it snatched up by someone else just as you arrive!
Navigating to the rubber-burning site in Escape from Tarkov’s Ground Zero may appear straightforward, but finding the precise location can prove tricky. Fear not, as I’ve prepared a guide to help you complete this mission successfully. Stick with the instructions provided for a smooth task completion.
How to complete Burning Rubber
In the Skier’s Burning Rubber task, there’s just a single step involved. This involves successfully applying the premium vehicle extraction technique at Ground Zero.
One advantage of this mission is that it can effortlessly complement any initial Ground Zero assignments you might have, given that an extract is essential in any case! However, do keep in mind that the availability of the extract itself plays a crucial role, as each one is only usable once per raid and is likely to be high demand at the start of a fresh wipe.
Where is the paid vehicle extraction?
The paid vehicle extraction, also referred to as the ‘Police Cordon V-Ex’, can be located at the crossroads connecting the Terragroup building and the Empire building, situated in the heart of the map.
1. The mentioned object is a significantly sized, black vehicle with its engine humming and lights illuminated. You can find it at the cul-de-sac near the roadblock. However, if you don’t spot a car there, I regret to inform you that the extract has already been utilized by another player.
To use this extract, it is essential that you have at least 5,000 rubles on your PMC, as the driver will need to be paid once the job is done. Although you might find money during the raid, it would be wiser to gather the 5k from your stash beforehand. You can store it safely in your secure container if you’re concerned about meeting an untimely end before reaching the extraction point.
Ultimately, the extract counts down for a minute as soon as you pay up. You have the option to depart from the extraction point before the countdown concludes if necessary, like in case of avoiding enemy fire or hiding. Nevertheless, keep in mind that the vehicle will depart once the countdown hits zero, regardless of your presence, so ensure you’re back with at least 5 seconds remaining on the clock.
If you choose to spend the minute near your car, ensure you’re not stationary at any point. You’re in a very open and vulnerable location, so there’s a good chance other Private Military Companies (PMCs) might be observing this spot. Whenever possible, stay concealed behind cover, and keep moving to make yourself a challenging target to hit.
